Deanna Troi – Marina Sirtis 


There are very few people who haven’t at least heard of Star Trek. Even if you weren’t an avid fan, these before & after photos of Star Trek’s cast will shock you. Deanna Troi, played by Marina Sirtis, has had many appearances in several Star Trek shows and movies, including Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise.

Montgomery ‘Scotty’ Scott – James Doohan

James Doohan played Scotty in the Star Trek TV show as well as the movies. He’ll always be remembered as the Scottish one.

Lieutenant Uhura – Nichelle Nichols

Nichelle Nichols played Lieutenant Nyota Uhura in Star Trek from 1966 to 1969. She was one of the first African-Americans on the show whose role was more than a servant or cleaner.

Hoshi Sato – Linda Park

Since Star Trek, Linda Park has been in the TV series Crash, as well as appearing in episodes of House, The Mentalist, and NCIS.

Hikaru Sulu – George Takei

George Takei was not only in the original series of Star Trek but also in all 6 movies. The actor, author and activist has definitely been busy.

Vulcan Spock – Leonard Nimoy

The famous Spock unfortunately passed away last year. He has a successful career as an author, singer, photographer and director.

Vulcan Valeris – Kim Cattrall

Believe it or not, Sex And The City actress Kim Cattrall played Vulcan Valeris in Star Trek VI.

Wesley Crusher – Wil Wheaton

You may recognize Wil Wheaton from The Big Bang Theory, even if you never saw him in Star Trek.

Dr. Beverly Crusher – Gates McFadden

Gates McFadden played Dr. Beverley Crusher aboard the USS Enterprise. Nowadays, she’s more into the stage than the screen.

Lieutenant Worf – Michael Dorn

Michael Dorn, better known on Star Trek as Lieutenant Worf, has had a number of film roles since the show, including a part in Ted 2.

Guinan – Whoopi Goldberg

Remember when Whoopi Goldberg was in Star Trek: Next Generation? She was a bartender on the show, and needless to say she’s gone on to have quite a successful career.

B’Elanna Torres – Roxann Dawson

Roxann Dawson is now a producer and a director, although she is remembered for her role as B’Elanna Torres in Star Trek

Geordi La Forge – LeVar Burton

LeVar Burton, who played Geordi La Forge in the series, is now not only an actor, but also a director and author.

Naomi Widlman – Scarlett Pomers

Scarlett Pomers gained fame when she played the role of Naomi Wildman on Star Trek. She then went on to star in the TV show Reba.

Kira Nerys – Nana Visitor

Nana Visitor, who played Kira Nerys on the show, went on to a role in TV show Wildfire.

Miles O’Brien – Colm Meaney

Colm Meaney may have started as an extra, but he ended up having a regular role on Star Trek: Next Generation. He’s been in several films since, including Law Abiding Citizen and Con Air.

Q – John de Lancie

John de Lancie has had a successful career since Star Trek, with roles in The West Wing, Law & Order, Charmed, and Breaking Bad.

Pavel Chekov – Walter Koenig

Walter Koenig, who you may recognize as Pavel Chekov from Star Trek, has also become a, writer, teacher, and director.

Christine Chapel – Majel Barrett

Majel Barrett not only played nurse Christine Chapel, but also did the voice of the ship’s computer. She died in 2008.

Janice Rand – Grace Lee Whitney

Grace Lee Whitney, who was widely known for her role in the original Star Trek series, just recently passed away in May of 2015.

Molly O’Brien – Hana Hatae

Hana Hatae, who played Molly O’Brien, has not had a very active acting career since she left the show. She’s been working as a photography assistant.

Keiko O’Brien – Rosalind Chao

Keiko O’Brien, Molly’s mother, was played by Rosalind Chao. After Star Trek, she was in the show AfterMASH.

Chakotay – Robert Beltran

Robert Beltran, who played Commander Chakotay, has taken a step back from TV and film in recent years.

Tom Paris – Robert Duncan McNeill

Since his role on Star Trek, Robert Duncan McNeill has also gotten into producing and directing.
