Man Buried 42 School Buses To Make Huge Doomsday Shelter

If a quarantine or war happens, no one is safe. Of course, prepping for the worse is important—so much so that there’s an entire online community of “preppers” who often go to radical lengths to be ready. If you’re not sure what to do in case national chaos ensues, just ask this prepper named Bruce Beach of Horning’s Mills, Canada.

Bruce has created a hideout so outlandish that you need to see it to actually believe it. Some say he’s a “maniac,” but Bruce knows that in the event of massive collapse event, he’ll have the last laugh…

Bruce lived in the United States for many years before relocating to rural Canada in 1970.

During the Cold War, he began thinking about nuclear survivalism and biological warfare, and he figured Horning’s Mills was a perfect place to set up a compound.

Between the years of 1980 and 1985, Bruce had a total of 42 old school buses shipped to his property in Canada. Why exactly?

The reason is quite simply stunning…

Bruce dropped all 42 of the old buses into an underground pit and covered them with concrete.

Now, he officially owns and maintains North America’s largest collapse shelter, which he calls Ark Two.

The entire structure is 10,000 square feet, and it can hold up to 500 people comfortably.

There are a variety of rooms and the bunker is virtually impenetrable to anything short of a direct nuclear strike.

Most people think maintaining the entire shelter is a big waste of time.

However, Bruce knows that in the event of a collapse event, he has the provisions and the shelter to stay alive.

Ark Two exists 14 feet under the ground.

For the last 35 years, he’s worked every day to make sure the entire bunker is equipped and ready in the event of an emergency.

Che Bodhi, an organizer for the Ontario Prepper Survival Network (OPSN), had this to say about Bruce’s structure: “When you go inside the bunker for the first time, it is a different planet, it’s like you’re on Mars.

When you hear about this concept of 42 school buses underground, to fathom it is nothing compared to going in and actually seeing it…It’s crazy in there.”

The bunker features all the comforts of a mansion. It includes two industrial kitchens, a living room, bowling alley, and washrooms with running water.

You really couldn’t ask for anything else…

The property also has full plumbing, including an underground well to ensure clean drinking water; diesel generators with years worth of fuel; and a communication station so information can be transmitted to the outside world.

Ark Two is also fully equipped with bunks and storage spaces for people to keep their personal belongings.

Bruce was sure to have all his bases covered in prepping for a worldwide collapse.

Ark Two also begins with a decontamination room, a visitors has to pass through before they enter the bunker.

This room is to eliminate the spread of disease and radiation in the shelter itself.

The biggest problem Bruce faces has been both political and bureaucratic. The Canadian government has been unhappyabout the shelter, even though he built the bunker without proper permits.

He has been taken to court multiple times.

The fire department in a nearby town has been a particularly tough opponent for Bruce. The department has sealed the bunker twice due to safety concerns.

In 2015, a group of Canadian survivalists gathered on Bruce’s property, causing firefighters to threaten to seal off the bunker for a third time.

The general public once viewed the project as the work of an eccentric old man who’s paranoid about the end of the world, but now they are changing their tune.

Bruce plans to invite people in if things get worse.

Bruce  stands strong in his belief that he’s doing right by his fellow man, even though the stress of maintaining the shelter has taken a toll on his life.

In recent months, the compound has suffered fires and vandalism.

Bruce’s adult children use to be tired of constantly listening to the “doom and gloom” attitude their father always had about the future of the planet, but they are starting to change their mind because of recent events.

The Ark Two community website reads: “The Ark Two SAFE (Safe America For Everyone) Community is the largest pluralistic survival community in North America without any political, religious, or cultural bias.

Its purpose is to ameliorate the catastrophe of a nuclear war or other world-wide cataclysmic catastrophe and to help restore civilization.”

In this time of trying, Ark Two stands as a fortress in the rural town of Horning’s Mills, Canada, and is no longer looking like crazy talk.
