Travis drove slowly and carefully as he made sure to be on the lookout for any signs of black ice on the road ahead. As he was driving attentively, he came across a frozen curled up body in the snow. Scared and shocked, Travis quickly slammed his break and got out of his car.
After quickly stepping out of his truck, he picked her up before putting her in his truck. He tried to make the inside of his truck as warm as possible by turning up the heat and speeding to the nearest hospital. But suddenly he received a mysterious phone call, supposedly from a bank. What happened next, made him burst into tears!
Travis Was Out On Work
Travis Daniels was a truck driver. He was going through a rough patch in his life. Worse than ever before when he found himself driving on a snowy highway in Michigan.
It was deep into winter and the snow had piled up everywhere making it risky to drive. He drove carefully while making sure not to drive into any ice patches on the road. If he hadn’t been driving so cautiously, he probably never would have spotted her.
It Was A Tough Day For Him
For the past few months, Travis had been going through some ups and downs which forced him to work for insane hours. It was no wonder that he was exhausted.
He could hardly get any sleep but that didn’t stop him from taking in more jobs. Today, he was heading for destruction without any idea of what laid ahead.

At this moment, his heart was beating heavily. He used his hands to shove the snow off her face and tried to wake her up. But she was unresponsive. This scared him. He was screaming for her to wake up. Travis, all terrified and shaken, tried again and shook her cold body. But there was no response.
Travis Looked For Her Pulse
He fearfully checked for a pulse. As he placed his fingers on her neck, he felt her skin was ice cold. Just when he was about to panic even more her eyes shot open.
“Help me” she struggled to whisper as she looked up at Travis. He didn’t hesitate to pick her up and place her in his truck. That’s when he noticed her ID.
He Quickly Rushed To The Hospital
The ID must have fallen down from her pocket when he picked her up. He paused for a moment and looked down at it.
She looked vaguely familiar, he noticed before handing it back over to her. He forgot about the ID as he put the heat on full blast.
Travis Saved Her Life
Without wasting a second, he made his way to the closest hospital. On their way, he asked her what happened and how did she get there, but she never answered his questions. This left him fearful.
He got her to the hospital as quickly as he could. The doctors told him that she needed specialist care and he had saved her life. But this wasn’t a happy moment for Travis as he still had a long battle to fight.
Cops Showed Up At The Hospital
Travis explained to doctors what had happened. It hardly took any time for the cops to show up and they took an immediate interest in Travis and the strange woman’s case.
They started to interrogate him on the spot and he told them everything he knew and also mentioned that he had no idea who she was. He didn’t know whose life he had just saved.

It had almost been a week since the incident when one day, Travis’s phone rang. He took a moment then answered the call. “Hello?” he said. It was from the hospital. The person on the other side said, “The woman whose life you saved a few days back wishes to speak to you in person”.
Now he wondered what the woman would have wanted to say? He remembered thinking that the woman needed support. He was genuinely concerned about her and wanted to see how she was doing in person too.

This time, it was the bank. Someone had anonymously transferred a massive sum of money into his account. He told the bank that it had to be a mistake but then his phone rang again.
“Are you Regina Daniel’s father?” a man asked. “Yes'' Travis replied nervously. His stomach dropped usually when the hospital called about Regina. They always brought bad news. “What’s this about?” he asked worriedly.

“We’ve booked your daughter in for her surgery. Bring her in two weeks and we’ll take care of her. Pack her bag and she'll be staying for a few nights for recovery. Travis’s eyes began to swell. “What was happening?
Who did this?” Travis asked the doctor. The doctor said “the donor does not wish to disclose their name but they have contacted the hospital to confirm the transfer of the funds. Travis was left speechless.
The Secret Donor
He checked his account and indeed the call from the bank earlier was right. Someone had saved his daughter’s life. He raced to his wife and asked her if she knew who could have done this.
She tearfully replied “No” and they both began to call all their family members and friends hoping to identify the secret donor. However, fate had other plans!

It wasn’t until they were at the hospital, exhausted after a successful surgery that the secret donor decided to appear before them. Travis gasped as he took in the sight of a woman.
It was the same woman he had rescued from the snow. Travis failed to recognize her at first as she looked radically different. Gone was the disheveled and rugged looking girl who spent hours shaking in the freezing cold.

Her heels clicked clocked as she entered the room. Her smile was bright and radiant and she seemed to be a completely different woman.
