How Dare They?
Mike's heart broke when he looked over to his daughter Gracie and saw tears in her eyes. He wanted nothing more than to hold her and tell her it's going to be okay. Mike knew, however, that things were not okay. Things became even worse when she gave him a note from her bag.

Letting Her Go
With a heavy heart, Mike dropped Gracie off at school. He gave her a big hug goodbye, and he could not help but smile as she skipped her way into school. It was adorable!

After dropping Gracie off at school, Mike left to go to work. He was a chef at a restaurant, and he was good at his job! He enjoyed every second of it despite it being a very challenging job.
He finished work at 3 pm. Just in time to go pick up Gracie! He was eager to hear about her first day off school But once the clock struck 3 pm, it was time for him to clock off and pick up his little girl. He was about to find out something horrible...
Blissfully Unaware
On the way to pick up Gracie, Mike sang his lungs out! He was so excited to see his little girl and hear about her day.
Mike, on the other hand, was not expecting what he saw at the school entrance.
Something Is Wrong
Mike immediately knew something was wrong as she approached the car. “What’s up, darling?” He asked concerned. Gracie, on the other hand, brushed it off.
The moment they arrived home Mike made Gracie a cup of hot cocoa and asked her if anything bad happened to her. He felt so concerned for his little girl. What she shared with him made his jaw drop...
Negative Remarks
It took Gracie a minute to open up and Mike could see her tearing up. “People at school were pointing and staring at my hair,” Gracie said looking down.
Mike's heart broke. He could not stand the thought of his daughter being sad. “Was it the other kids?” Mike asked while holding Gracie's hand. “No,” Gracie replied, “it was the teachers.” Mike was stunned!
Consumed By Anger
Mike's face turned red. He could not believe how unprofessional and rude the teachers at the school acted. Why do they even have a problem with a little girl? Mike sighed, he knew that he could not do anything about the situation, at least not right away. “Ok sweetie, I’ll talk to your teacher tomorrow,” he told Gracie.
Mike had no idea that the issue would spiral out of control the next day.
Going Downhill
Throughout the evening Mike kept thinking about what his daughter Gracie had told him earlier on. Just as he was about to tuck Gracie into her bed, she muttered something about a letter. She then asked her dad what “expelled” meant.
Mike was astonished yet worried to hear his daughter ask this. What was going on? He felt fire in his lungs. But things only got worse when Gracie pulled a note out of her bag.
Reading The Note
Mike picked up the note from Gracie’s hands and started reading it. But with each word he read, reality hit him. And he started seeing red.
When he finished reading, his breath started to quicken and he could feel his blood boil. It seemed the school had done something to Gracie without discussing any of it with him.
Kicked Out
Gracie was going to be expelled. All because of her hair. This was some kind of joke, right? Mike wasn’t going to stand for this.
He grabbed his phone and armed with fire in his stomach he called the school. Things were about to get heated.
Furious
What started as a heated rant to the principal ending in a shouting match between Mike and the principal. The principal insisted Gracie’s hair violated school policy, and unfortunately, that was the end of the matter.
But the principal had a proposition for the angered father. And it left Mike even more furious.
Ultimatum
Either Gracie would have to cut her hair or she would be kicked out permanently. As soon as heard this, Mike felt anger bubble inside. How could they propose such a thing?
Mike knew he had to take this further. He wasn’t going to stand for it. No way.
Social Media
He posted the incident online and within a matter of hours, thousands of people showed their support for Mike and little Gracie. Many people slammed the school for their actions, while a few people thought the rules were there for a reason.
In the end, what happened to Gracie?
End Result
After the situation was taken to the school board, Gracie was eventually allowed to come back to school with her hair perfectly intact.
For the time being, Mike’s looking at alternative schools for his daughter.
