Woman Who Swallowed Her Engagement Ring Reveals What Prompted Her To Do It

"No, it wasn't an accident," the bride-to-be said in an interview. "I shared my story on Facebook because I wanted people to know that this happens more often than you think."

That day, Jenna Evans had no other choice but to swallow her beautiful diamond engagement ring.

Strange Dream

Jenna had been having “very strange and vivid dreams” every night and even considered visiting a psychologist.

One of her dreams involved her fiance, Bobby, a high-speed train, and some hooligans who wanted to steal her engagement ring. In the dream, Jenna's fiance asked her to swallow her ring to protect it from thieves.

She Swallowed The Ring

When Jenna woke up the next morning, she realized that she had actually followed Bobby's advice.

When she told him about her dream, they “laughed pretty hard for an hour and a half.” When the couple arrived at the ER, the doctor immediately ordered an X-Ray of her lungs and stomach and what she saw on the image shocked her to the core.

The Surgery Went Well

Jenna could see her engagement ring in her stomach. The doctor suggested doing a minor surgery to remove the ring rather than letting nature take its course.

After the quick surgery, the beautiful engagement ring was returned to her fiance for safekeeping, and Jenna was given a list of recommended foods to eat while she recovered. But, she wasn't planning to follow such a strict diet.

She Was Craving Fast Food

She was craving an In-N-Out double cheeseburger with fries and a chocolate milkshake, and her caring fiance ordered it for her.

Once Jenna felt better, she went on Facebook and shared her hilarious story. It quickly went viral, and she was even invited for an interview on Good Morning America, where she showed off her infamous engagement ring.

They Are Getting Married Soon

The couple announced that they are planning to tie the knot next May and are excited for what the future has in store for them.

This footage of a couple getting engaged on a sidewalk in New York City had gone viral after the New York Police Department shared it on their Twitter account. Moments later, the man accidentally dropped the ring into the sewer grate below him.

He Dropped The Engagement Ring

The security camera footage showed the man going from the traditional one knee pose to falling down to the ground and dropping the engagement ring into the sewer grate.

It seemed unlikely that the couple would find their ring, but thanks to social media, many people saw this footage after the police department shared it online.

Searching For The Ring

The couple called the police department around midnight, and with this footage, the authorities began searching for the ring.

They tried to recover the ring that night, but they weren't successful as it was too dark and they couldn't see anything.

They Found The Ring

The next morning, the police officers returned to the scene and found the engagement ring.

Fortunately for this couple, the officers were able to locate the engagement ring in just 10 or 15 minutes.

“Like Finding A Needle In A Haystack.”

One police officer described the search as “like finding a needle in a haystack.”

“We've been on plenty of these searches where we've come up with nothing, unfortunately. And fortunately, this one has a good ending to it," he continued.

It Was Dirty

The officers thoroughly cleaned the ring as it was covered in dirt and mold from the New York City sewers.

Then, they posted a photo of the freshly cleaned engagement ring on social media in hopes of finding its owners.

Searching For The Owners

As it turned out, the couple was only in New York City for a couple of days, so they had already left the country by the time the ring was found.

Fortunately, the police were able to find them within 24 hours, thanks to social media. Daniella and John were on cloud nine when they heard that their ring had been found. But what actually happened that night?

The Ring Was Too Big For Her

The couple explained that John proposed to Daniella in Central Park, but the ring was too big for her, and it fell into the sewer gates.

One morning, a man named Ben Hsu fell asleep with his AirPods on. But when he woke up, he realized that one of them had gone missing.

He Lost One Airpod

He used a tracking feature on his iPhone and realized that both AirPods were still in the same room as him.

He looked for the Airpod everywhere in his room, but he still couldn't find it. Then, he heard a beeping sound coming from his stomach.

He Swallowed It By Accident

Dr. Chen Chieh-fan, who examined Ben's stomach, explained, “Because of the plastic shell around the AirPod, the risk of it causing him harm in a similar way to swallowing a regular lithium-ion battery is much lower.”

According to the doctor, direct exposure to a battery could have led to serious complications. Ben's AirPod successfully passed through his system without causing any injuries to his intestines.
