Woman Rescues A Malnourished And Paraplegic Husky That Was Forced To Breed

While some dogs are lucky enough and get adopted by amazing owners that give them all their love and affection, other dogs face the bad side of humanity we all know. And this is particularly true when it comes to breed dogs. This beautiful Siberian husky named Maya almost lost her life due to the horrible people who mistreated her in the kennel she used to be kept in. The poor dog was forced to breed in order to be profitable and, on top of that, she had to drink her own urine and eat her fences to survive.

Being paraplegic, Maya was abandoned on the verge of death. What this one woman did for Maya will leave you in tears...  This gorgeous Siberian Husky has a shocking, heart-wrenching story. When she was mistreated and beaten up, her strong will to live saved her and kept her alive until the day she met her guard angel, who changed her life. Make sure you grab some tissues before reading the story...

You would expect breed dogs such as this amazing Siberian husky to be well-treated as they are considered quite expensive. And expensive means that they are profitable for the kennel, too.

Well, that’s not the case at all. And Maya’s story will prove this to you...

Maya had never felt any type of love in her life. Ever since she was born, she was separated from her mother, being helpless and lonely. She had never owned a bed, she had never run free in the grass, and mostly, she had never felt that someone cared.

However, thanks to what an amazing dog she is, she would always be pleasant to be around. But her happiness did not last long...

No dog should ever be treated this way. Maya was repeatedly forced to breed in order to have puppies that the kennel would sell.

She was beaten up and tied up, which both led to her being paraplegic. The poor dog had been around horrible people, but you could tell that there was still a spark in her eyes, a will to live besides all this torture she had been through...

At one point, the Brazilian kennel she was kept in decided that they didn’t need Maya anymore. She was paraplegic and weak, unable to breed. And that’s when these monstrous human beings abandoned Maya.

No food, no water. They gave nothing to Maya. Her condition was critical...

What Maya had to do in order to survive is unbelievable. It’s a shame that people in kennels are being so awful towards dogs.

Maya had to drink her own urine because she had no water available. And there is even more than that...

Not only did she not have fresh water every day, but people in the kennel did not even feed her! The dog had to eat her own feces to survive.

Maya had nothing in life at that moment. She was about to die, but then her story got a shocking plot twist...

Rayssa must have been Maya’s guardian angel. A woman in her late thirties showed up in Maya’s life for a truly inspiring reason.

This kind woman had not seen the best in life either. So that was the first thing she and Maya had in common...

The 30-year-old woman was having a difficult time in life at that time. She just felt like nothing was worthy, things meant nothing in her life, plus she would cry and not have anyone to talk to.

Rayssa needed to change her life as soon as possible...

Rayssa had always been passionate about animals and, mostly, about dogs. She just felt a different and unique connection with them. She even sometimes felt that animals understand her much better than human beings.

And that’s why she would prefer to stay at home with her other dogs rather than go out and socialize. Nothing was making her happy until that one day...

A friend told Rayssa about a dog outside of a kennel in their town. Her friend was also an animal advocate, so she shared her experience with the poor pup.

Rayssa was informed that what was planned for the dog was to give her rat poison in order to get rid of her. As soon as she heard that, she headed to the kennel...

Rayssa had a gut feeling that she had to save that dog. She just needed to do it. Maybe by helping someone else, she was also helping herself.

She was about to meet Maya for the first time. When she first saw her, she burst into tears. She could not believe in her eyes...

What Rayssa saw that day was a suffering, helpless dog that was about to die. Her heart broke. She could simply not believe that people treated her that way.

Without a second thought, Rayssa got Maya in her arms and carried her to her car. What she didn’t know was that things were about to be very difficult...

Rayssa fell in love with Maya from their first moments together. She was determined to rescue this poor dog and offer her what she deserves.

Maya could not walk and was full of wounds from when she was beaten up. But most importantly, Maya had strong wounds in her soul...

This strong woman wanted to do the best for Maya. For the first 48 hours, she didn’t leave her alone even for a second.

In this way Maya would start to trust her and feel the connection between them. Maya was welcomed with so much love and respect, however she still had trust issues at first...

Thanks to Rayssa’s experience in dogs, she knew that this was not going to be easy. It was normal that Maya was hesitant at first.

She had never felt kind, loving hands upon her, and she had never sat on a warm lap before. This was all so new to her, and she needed time to feel comfortable with her new life.

What was impressive is that no matter how bad Maya was treated before, she immediately had a strong bond with Rayssa. Rayssa could already tell that her life had been changed completely.

But she knew she had one thing left to do...

As a dog expert, this amazing woman knew she had to take her to the vet clinic to make sure she is going to recover. While Rayssa explained Maya’s past to the vet and they advised her that Maya should start a long-term treatment.

But there was bad news too...

Rayssa got told that her new friend would not be able to walk never again. However, this didn’t mean that she would give up on her.

“That is not a problem at all”, she said. About three weeks after Maya started her treatment things got a devastating twist...

Maya seemed to be better after some weeks in her treatment. But things don’t always go as planned. Maya needed immediately a blood transfusion, otherwise her condition would be critical.

Her life was in danger and Rayssa was devastated. Her world turned upside down...

They were both so strong and got through this together. Maya was now safe, and she could turn back to her routine with Rayssa.

The dog was now out of this toxic environment she used to be in, healthier than she has ever been and happier than ever. But, one last surprise was about to change Maya’s life forever...

Since Maya could not walk, something had to be done. Rayssa wanted the best for Maya, so she bought a whole dog wheelchair for her.

And that was officially a sign that Maya was now free. She could now walk, run and go on walks with her lovely owner.

It’s amazing how Maya got stronger and stronger every day. Rayssa knew from the first day she met Maya that she was an amazing dog with a strong will to live. She managed to trust someone after the nightmare she had been through at the kennel.

And that’s huge. Now what was left was to start making memories with Rayssa.

Maya’s glow up is inspiring. She went from a cold wire cage to a lovely household with an owner that did everything for her.

After 5 years, Maya was unrecognizable. She had never looked so good, never felt that good before.

Getting a better life is a blessing. And this is true not only for humans but also for animals such as this lovely Siberian Husky.

Some years ago, Maya could not do anything more than look through the wire cage. Now, she can walk around and go on adventures with Rayssa.

Some people claim that Rayssa saved Maya’s life. And that’s true. But Maya also saved Rayssa’s life.

‘There are no wounds that love can’t heal, she said. So this long but fun journey healed both of them, making them the happiest they have ever been.

These two became so inseparable that Rayssa would even travel with her. Maya had the chance to walk in the grass, jump into the snow, and even swim into the sea.

Without Rayssa, she would not have the opportunity to do these simple activities that every dog deserves to do.

Rayssa’s good actions did not stop there. The adventure she went through with Maya made her even more passionate about dogs.

She was already a true advocate, but now she was dedicated to help other dogs, too. She even had meet-ups with other disabled dogs and made a couple of new friends!

That’s exactly what Rayssa wanted. A few years ago, before meeting Maya, Rayssa was lost in her life, having no will to do anything productive.

After meeting Maya, she was inspired and full of will to live. She completed her dog family, and now she had four lovely pups!

This story has a happy ending, and we are so glad about it. Both Maya and Rayssa deserved happiness, and they find it in each other.

Sharing and receiving love can be healing!
