The first thing she did was to book a seat, on a free row as traditionally she would do. She sat on her computer, searched for a ticket until she realized the shocking reality...
Savannah was shocked when she found out that there was only one seat left on the plane she was planning to take. There were no other flights on the day she needed so she could not do anything else.
She had to book this one and she did, but she was not about to give up that easily...
It's very common for passengers to cancel their flights and Savannah really hoped that there would be 2-3 people that would not attend the flight. She really wanted to know so she called the airport staff and asked about her flight and if all seats were still full.
What they told her brought her to tears...
Savannah was really sad to hear that she was about to travel with no personal space. She was stressing out and even thought of canceling the trip so she didn’t have to fly under those conditions.
But that trip was very important so she decided to go, even if it would be an unpleasant flight. Little did she know what was about to happen to her...
On the day of the flight, she felt that something was wrong. She had a pro feeling that her trip was not going to be easy. She really believed that and that’s why she was not very happy that day.
She drove to the airport, checked in, and hopped into the airplane. It was that moment she regretted going on that flight...
‘Is there anything wrong with me?’,’ Do I have a stain on my clothes?’, Savannah asked herself. Why was everyone staring at her? It was not that they were just looking, they were staring at her and it was obvious.
She felt very bad for herself and, at that point, she was really trying not to cry. Until something worse happened...
After having to walk on the whole aisle of the plane, she finally found her seat. The people on the row of her seat were already sitting and her seat was on the window. So, people had to stand up so that she could reach her seat.
They seemed annoyed that Savannah made them stand up and that made her feel awful. But then she spotted a man staring at her with a disguising look on his face...
She saw an old man staring at her with no shame. He was even muttering something while looking at her but she could not hear what he was saying.
She tried to look away and just make herself feel less stressed about the unpleasant flight. But who was he and why was he being so rude?
That old man looked very unhappy with his life. Maybe he was one of those people that would always complain about life and talk behind people’s backs.
But Savannah didn’t care, all she wanted was that he would stop staring at her with that strange look on his face. But the man did not stop there...
The man was old but not old enough to not have a cellphone. So, after a few minutes, he grabbed his smartphone and started typing nonstop. His fingers were on fire. But at least, he wasn’t bothering Savannah anymore.
Savannah felt better after seeing that the man was not staring at her anymore. But that lasted for some seconds. Now the man started doing something even worse...
He would now type on his smartphone while glancing at Savannah every few seconds. She could not believe what was happening to her.
She was already freaking out about the flight and she was also being mocked by a stranger on the plane. And this was about to get disastrous...
The rude old man then started laughing at Savannah. He would look at her body and then laugh loudly so she could hear him.
Savannah was in complete shock; she could not believe in her eyes and she was literally frozen at that time. Then, the last hit came...
He grabbed his cellphone again but then did something very odd. He set the font at the biggest possible and he also set the brightness of the phone to its fullest. It was like he wanted her to see what he was typing.
Savanah thought that she should not see it and just look away. But she was very curious and decided to take a fast look. She was about to get the greatest shock of her life...
Savannah thought to herself; she was going to see what that man was typing all this time and then occupy herself with something else, listen to some music or watch a movie maybe.
She kind of stood up for a few seconds so she could read that man’s text but when she actually saw it, she immediately burst into tears...
Savannah could not believe her eyes. That awful man was texting his wife about her, calling her smelly and fatty. Savannah had faced bullying multiples times before but that did not mean that she was used to it.
Every single time was equally painful, so she started crying. But then the sad story got a twist...
A young man witnessed the incident from its start to its end. He knew exactly what was going on and felt ashamed for the old man’s behavior.
He had been through bullying as well so he knew exactly how Savannah was feeling. He was heartbroken to see Savannah crying and then decided to do something very brave...
The young man decided to help Savannah. He really wanted to release her from the pain she was feeling and wanted to make sure she would, at least, enjoy herself for the rest of the flight. He stood up and asked the old man to follow him on the front part of the aisle.
The two men talked for a few minutes and when they came back, they switched seats. Savannah was still and shocked and now she had questions...
After switching seats, the young man smiled at Savannah and he really warmed Savannah. His little act of kindness made her feel loved.
She really appreciated that but did not have the chance to thank the young man because she could not find him after the plane landed at the destination. She really wanted to find him...
Words were not enough for Savanah to describe how grateful she was. She then decided to post her story on Facebook so as to find that good man.
She explained the incident and even described the young man’s appearance just in case anyone happened to know him. Then her post blew up...
Savannah’s friends and family were really moved by her story. After a few days, likes and comments got more than a thousand.
Savanah thought she could never find her hero until she receives a private message...
It was him! Savannah found the unknown hero of that tragic day of her life.
His name was Chase and he was a barman, traveling for his job as Savanna. She could finally thank him for his wonderful act of kindness and even learn some more information about him and his life.
Turned out that Savannah and Chase actually lived 20 minutes apart and the bar Chase used to work was one of Savannah’s favorite places to go.
After getting to know each other more and more, they realized they had many interests in common and that’s when they ended up being friends!
Her friends were really supportive and Savannah wanted to update them on the latest news. She even posted some last words about not wanting to find out who that old man was but being happy for finding Chase.
And comments about Chase were great.
Savannah was so happy this was finally over. And after finding Chase, the case closed.
She was not planning on concerning herself with the horrible man that made her cry on the flight.
What happened to her was heartbreaking but at the end of the day, all she wanted to do in her life was just to enjoy her job, her lovely husband, and her gorgeous two little daughters.
Her story did have a happy ending!
