One evening, Gabriel Ruiz and his girlfriend Gabriela Jauregui from Naples, Long Beach, went out for a short walk before bed. As they walked on the street, they spotted something strange in the bushes resembling a diaper bag.

The couple figured someone must've left it behind, and they wanted to return it. So they opened the diaper bag in hopes of finding an identification card, but what they saw inside left them speechless. 

$5,000 In Cash

The couple was looking at $5,000 in cash! They couldn't believe someone had forgotten this much money in their diaper bag.

"Thank God!" they thought to themselves as they opened the wallet. But what they discovered inside was even more surprising.

Fortunately, the wallet contained an address, and now Gabriel and his girlfriend knew who the money belonged to.

According to the document they found inside the wallet, the $5,000 in cash belonged to someone from the Philippines. But what was their bag doing in California?

Although they were tired, Gabriel and Gabriela decided to wait for the person to come back and reclaim the bag. After all, $5,000 wasn't a small amount, and not all people have good intentions. Someone could easily take the money and spend it on themselves.

After hours of waiting, no one showed up to reclaim the brown diaper bag. So, they decided to search for the address of the person whose ID card they found inside and send them the bag.

He couldn't stop thanking the couple for returning him the cash. He was struggling financially, and the $5,000 was all he had to take care of his family.
