Susan and her husband had been a married couple for years. It was not less than a fairy tale. They were the epitome of love for their friends and relatives. Considered to be one of the best couples in their circle, Susan and her husband’s chemistry was something else entirely.

The Perfect Choice
Susan had met a photographer through her colleague so she decided to call him. The concerned photographer mainly specialized in weddings. Capturing the love between two lovebirds was his forte.
Susan was well aware of his work and she knew that he would be a perfect choice. The love between Susan and John was still as fresh as it was during their wedding. Without wasting any time, Susan quickly made an appointment.
Great Enthusiasm
Susan quickly found out that the photographer was very enthusiastic. He considered it a great honor that Susan had opted for his services to permanently capture their love.
As far as he was concerned, the photographer informed Susan that he could come down to their place by the next day. Susan was particularly surprised by the enthusiasm that the photographer was displaying. “Come by!” she said.
The Day Arrived
When Susan informed John about the photoshoot, he choked on his coffee. The couple then went to their garden to prepare the setup. The weather and the backdrop were lovely that day.
But John’s behaviour was a bit weird. He was restless and nervous. He couldn’t stand still and kept fiddling with his shirt’s button. Susan first thought it could possibly be because John doesn’t like getting clicked. But it was something else entirely!
John Turns Pale
The photographer arrived at their place and seeing him, John’s face turned stark white. Susan could notice that his legs were shaking as well. Moreover, John was so nervous that he couldn’t even look at the photographer.
Paul, the photographer tried reassuring him but it was of no use. John and Paul had previously met at a barbecue but John wasn’t uttering a single word now.
Success!
With a nervous smile on his face, John looked at the camera. Susan quickly approached Paul to see the picture.
To her relief, John was looking good in that picture. She also noticed that the twinkle in his eye was back too. But when Susan closely inspected the photo, she was shocked!
Camera Doesn’t Lie
Susan had no idea what destiny had planned for her. She was quickly striding towards a discovery that would turn her life upside down.
As it turned out, John kept something hidden from her all these years. But he forgot that a camera doesn’t lie and all his secrets would be out in the open once the pictures arrived.
Pictures Finally Arrived
After much wait, Susan finally received the photos in her email. She decided not to look at them until after work.
She couldn’t make any time so on her way towards home, Susan made a stop to buy a frame for the most beautiful photo. Susan was very happy with her marriage but she had no idea that the frame that she had purchased, would never be used.
Susan Gets The Shock
Susan landed at her place with full enthusiasm. Once she changed, she opened her email inbox and scrolled through the photos.
Susan realized that she had made the right choice while picking the photographer because each photo was a work of art. “What great photos!” She thought until she glanced at a photo that left her in complete shock!
Connecting The Dots
The photo that shocked Susan was one of the photos where John’s entire body was in picture. At first glance, the photo seemed rather normal but when Susan looked at it with an eye for detail, she noticed something.
She also remembered that John was feeling nervous that day. Susan also remembered that John’s legs were shaking as well! “This cannot be true!” Susan thought by herself when she looked at the picture again.
Past The Denial Stage
To confirm her suspicion, she slowly zoomed in on the photo. Unfortunately, all of her fears and dark suspicions flashed before her eyes.
She realized that the discovery that she had just made had the potential of turning her life upside down completely! The proof was right there in front of her eyes. It was so prominently visible that she found herself way past the denial stage.
The Ring
Susan had zoomed in on the photo so much that one section of it took up her entire screen. It was the ring on John’s finger, after all.
Susan quickly noticed her own wedding ring that had little flowers on it. John had an identical ring. Tears started rolling down her cheeks and her eyes turned red. Was John cheating on her?
A Different Ring
The ring that Susan was seeing on her laptop screen, had no flowers at all. Susan discovered it later that the ring on his finger had been a present from a childhood friend. This confirmed her suspicion even further.
Susan had an idea that he had been in love with a classmate in his youth, and that he actually liked men. She started putting the missing pieces together and her eyes grew wide in terror. She knew who this childhood friend was.
Susan Confronts John
As soon as John stepped foot inside their home, Susan decided to confront him right away. She had already printed a copy of that photograph and was waiting for him in the living room.

After the dust settled, they had a rational discussion regarding their future.
Susan and John knew that their wedding was a sham after all. They both decided to part ways and filed for a divorce.

John finally settled down with Paul, the photographer and his one true love. On the other hand, Susan soon found love with someone else.
