Deborah and Sandy increased their home security. Deborah had cameras installed as well as extra locks and bolts on windows and doors.
While they worked, Sandy tried to make conversation with the detective. “I just don’t know why he has it in for me. What’s the hoodlum’s deal anyway?” she asked.
“We’ve been after him for years, we have caught him before and he escaped several times. He just has too many friends in high places.” Sandy tried to understand the power a common criminal would have over the police unit.
