Sandy was a changed woman. She was no longer afraid of walking alone at night, and she knew that she could protect herself if anything ever happened again.
But she saw something that night that made her realize that she still wasn’t safe at all. On her walk home, she saw the gang, harassing another young woman.
Sandy screamed at them to stop and then ran off into the night. She didn’t want to get involved.
