Where Are They Now: Reality Dating Show Couples

There’s a new reality dating show on TV? Count me in! And I swear I’m not alone in this. Nowadays, who isn’t obsessed with shows like The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Flavor of Love? These shows have the perfect mix of love, awkward conversations, and petty fights. And people are always down for some drama and romance.

But speaking of romance, the most important question right now is this: whatever happened to our favorite reality show couples? Did they get their happily ever after or did the sparks in their eyes vanish as soon as the cameras stopped rolling? We know you want the tea so we’re going to spill it!

Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici

Where you’ve seen them: The Bachelor (Season 7)
Relationship status: Happily married

We’re starting off the list with some happy news! Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici are one of the only two couples from the original series of The Bachelor that are still together. They were on the seventh season of the hit dating show and we are so happy to find out that the two are still happily in love.

The couple got married in early 2014. They have three kids, Samuel (3 years old), Isaiah (19 months old, and their first baby girl born in late 2019.

Morgan Lolar and Evan Smith

Where you’ve seen them: Temptation Island (Season 1) Relationship status: Split up

Moving on to a heartbreaker! Morgan Lolar and Evan Smith from the first season of Temptation Island started dating in 2018. After five months, Evan proposed to Morgan in March of 2019 but things started to go sour for them after that.

Morgan revealed on Twitter that her now ex-fiance Evan cheated on her. And what’s worse, she accused him of cheating with “21-year-old Instagram models.” But then again, Evan also cheated on his ten-year -long relationship with Morgan so maybe it’s not that surprising that things ended this way for the two.

Dylan Barbour and Hannah Godwin

Where you’ve seen them: Bachelor in Paradise (Season 6) Relationship status: Engaged

Never ever give up on love! Dylan and Hannah didn’t. Dylan was on The Bachelor and Hannah was on The Bachelorette but neither of them were successful in finding love while on their respectives shows. But then Bachelor in Paradise came along and during the sixth season of BIP, we witnessed their love blossom.

The two seem to be taking their time and enjoying each other’s company. According to their interview with People, they are currently engaged but they are not in any rush to tie the knot. We wish you two a blissful marriage when that time comes, Dylan and Hannah!

Alex Michel and Amanda Marsh

Where you’ve seen them: The Bachelor (Season 1) Relationship status: Split up Alex Michel and Amanda Marsh were on the very first season of The Bachelor in 2002. And during the finale that shook everyone, Michel chose not to propose to Marsh but he still wanted to date her. And here’s another shocker: Marsh agreed to Michel’s half-commitment.

The two dated for five months but broke up in the end. Years later, Michel is still single while Marsh is MIA. Michel is currently working at a consultant firm in Washington D.C. and sources say that he’s single and may be ready to mingle. Any takers out there, ladies?

Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen

Where you’ve seen them: Love Island (Season 2) Relationship status: Married Cheers to another happy couple! Olivia Bucklan and Alex Bowen are the first couple from the show Love Island to get married. The couple were in the 2016 season of the show where Buckland came in second place.

Olivia and Alex got engaged in 2017 and later that same year, fans were happy to see Buckland again on another show, Say Yes to the Dress. During the couple’s big day, Buckland said that their wedding felt “like a movie” and described the ceremony as “overwhelmingly perfect.”

Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson

Where you’ve seen them: Bachelor in Paradise (Season 7) Relationship status: Divorced Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson got married in 2019 in Mexico and their wedding was even televised from Nuevo Vallarta’s Vidanta Resort. But marriage doesn’t always mean a happy ever after for everyone. In fact, they were the first couple from Bachelor in Paradise to split up after getting married.

They announced in mid-February of 2020 that they were getting a divorce after eight months of marriage. And they even broke the bad news to everyone on Valentine’s Day! According to the pair, they never “imagined” that they would be in this situation and that they need time apart to “work on [them]selves.”

Bret Michaels and Taya Parker

Where you’ve seen them: Rock of Love (Season 3)

Relationship status: Friends

Poison frontman Bret Michaels and Taya Parker met each during the third season of Rock of Love. Parker even ended up winning in the show. The two dated for several months in 2009 but Michaels called it quits that same year. Sources say that they remained friends after splitting up.

Bret Michaels found love again with his longtime girlfriend Kristi Gibson with whom he has two kids. In 2019, he proposed to Gibson on his reality show Bret Michaels: Live As I Know It.

Flavor Flav and Nicole Deannae Alexander

Where you’ve seen them: Flavor of Love (Season 1)

Relationship status: Split up

Ever wondered what it’s like to date a rapper? Maybe you can ask Nicole “Hoopz” Alexander! Hoopz won the first season of Flavor of Love, a reality dating show where rapper Flavor Flav is the actual grand prize! (Say what?) After winning the show, Hoopz and Flavor Flav dated before splitting up. According to Hoopz, she “still loves” Flavor Flav and that he changed her life.

From rapper to basketball star real quick! After her split with Flavor Flav in 2010, Hoopz found love again with NBA player Shaquille O’Neal. After three years of dating, the two broke up but Hoopz said in an interview that she is “still hopeful for love.”

Alex Tatham and Sue Middleton

Where you’ve seen them: Blind Date (1988) Relationship status: Happily married

Now these two are the real #RelationshipGoals! In 1988, Alex Tatham and Sue Middleton went on a blind date on a show called… (yep, you guessed right!) Blind Date. And the rest is history! There was such an outpouring of support for the couple that when they got married in 1991, seventeen million people tuned in to watch their televised wedding. If there was Twitter then, #AlexAndSue4Ever would’ve trended for sure!

The couple celebrated their 25th anniversary recently and they described their decades-long relationship as “an extraordinary fairytale.”
There are rumors that Blind Date might be making a comeback soon. Will there be another Alex and Sue in the making?

Evan Marriott and Zora Andrich

Where you’ve seen them: Joe Millionaire (Season 1) Relationship status: Split up

Will people love you for you or because of money? In Joe Millionaire, Evan Marriott had to choose from a bunch of women who thought that he was worth $50 million (Spoiler alert: he was only worth $19,000 at that time).

In the end, he chose teacher Zora Andrich but the two split up sometime after the show ended. The pair shared the $1 million grand prize that they were awarded after they got together. The next question is this: Do people change because of fame and money? According to Andrich, the reason why their relationship didn’t develop further was because Marriott got “caught up” with fame and fortune that he ended up losing his humility.

Ryan Sutter and Trista Rehn

Where you’ve seen them: The Bachelorette (Season 1) Relationship status: Married The relationship of Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter is another proof that true love exists and we have The Bachelorette to thank for that. Years after the couple’s appearance on the show, the two have been together since 2003. They are still happily married with two kids.

And what’s their secret for lasting this long? The couple said that “forgiveness was key.”

Andrew Firestone and Jen Schefft

Where you’ve seen them: The Bachelor (Season 3) Relationship status: Split up  Andrew Firestone, heir to the Firestone fortune, was one of the richest people to ever appear on The Bachelor. At the end of the show, Firestone proposed to Jen Schefft. Jen even decided to move to California to be with her millionaire bae. But sadly, their relationship didn’t last very long. And the reason for their split? Incompatibility.

Firestone remarried supermodel Ivana Bozilovic while Schefft starred in the fifth season of The Bachelorette.

Kate Griffith and David Benavidez

Where you’ve seen them: Temptation Island (Season 2) Relationship status: Still together Kate Griffith and David Benavidez were rival executives on Temptation Island but the two ended up dating and living together for three years, on and off. Things got crazy on the show because David cheated on Kate and even left the island with another woman. Meanwhile, Griffith continued to be faithful and she even enforced boundaries with the men in her villa.

In the end, Benavidez went back to Griffith after his other woman dumped him and Kate got back together with him. Hopefully, things go well for the couple this time.

Chris Bukowski and Katie Morton

Where you’ve seen them: Bachelor in Paradise (Season 6)

Relationship status: Split up

It’s not always paradise in Bachelor in Paradise, pun intended. Katie Morton and Chris Bukowski had a rocky start while on the show because Bukowski would gravitate towards the other contestants. This led to Morton almost getting sent home.

Things just went downhill from there. The pair even had a major confrontation that shook everyone during the show’s reunion special. Talk about drama! According to their friends, the two tried to work things out and that they were “going strong” but it just wasn’t meant to be.

Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney

Where you’ve seen them: The Bachelor (Season 13) Relationship status: Married

To say that the season thirteen finale of The Bachelor was wild is an understatement! During the shocking finale, Jason Mesnick chose Melissa Rycroft over Molly Malaney. But immediately after the show ended, Mesnick realized that he made a mistake. He broke it off with Rycroft and contacted Malaney.

All's well that ends well because Malaney took him back and they got married in 2010 with their wedding being televised. They are now blissfully married with two kids.

Darva Conger and Rick Rockwell

Where you’ve seen them: Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire? (Season 1) Relationship status: Annulled If you can’t be a millionaire then marry one! In the first season of Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire, Rick Rockwell picked Darva Conger on the spot out of fifty women. She got a 3-carat diamond ring and $100,000. Sweet deal, right?

But as it turns out, Rockwell wasn’t really a millionaire because his liquid assets were only valued at $750,000. The day after the couple’s honeymoon, Conger filed for annulment and it went through in April of 2000. So, boys, if you want to be on the show, you better make sure you’re not $250,000 short of a million.

Tiffany Pollard and George Weisgerber

Where you’ve seen them: I Love New York (Season 2) Relationship status: Still together

In the second season of I Love New York, George “Tailor Made” Weisgerber competed for the affections of actress and TV personality Tiffany “New York” Pollard with Tailor Made winning. But shortly after the second season concluded, Pollard split up with Tailor Made.

VH1 denied that the pair already called it quits but the truth eventually came out. But there might still be hope for the two after getting back together in 2018.

Charlie O'Connell and Sarah Brice

Where you’ve seen them: The Bachelor (Season 7) Relationship status: Split up During the seventh season finale of The Bachelor, Charlie O’Connell selected Sarah Brice as his girlfriend but he didn’t propose to her. The pair dated for a couple of years before breaking up. They got back together in 2008 but after four years of dating, they called it quits again in 2012. I guess when it’s not meant to be, it’s not meant to be!

O’Connell moved on and dated Playboy playmate Anna Sophia Berglund. He eventually married Berglund in 2018.

Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum

Where you’ve seen them: The Bachelorette (Season 7) Relationship status: Happily married During the seventh season finale of The Bachelorette in 2011, Hebert chose Rosenbaum as her fiancé. The couple’s wedding in 2012 was televised with millions of people tuning in to witness the start of their happy ending.

The relationship of Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum is still going strong and the couple has two kids: Essex and Fordham. They even renewed their vows recently in a ceremony on a beach in Aruba in August of 2018.

Adam Mesh and Samantha Trenk

Where you’ve seen them: Average Joe: Adam Returns Relationship status: Split up After Adam Mesh and Samantha Trenk got together during the finale of Average Joe: Adam Returns, the pair eventually split up in 2004. It was Mesh who broke it off when he dumped Trenk during a lunch date.

When interviewed, Mesh said that he felt that his relationship with Trenk wasn’t “the relationship to end all relationships” for him and that he didn’t see their relationship working out. In 2006, Adam remarried his girlfriend, Jessica Malca. So maybe he did find the relationship to end all relationships with Jessica.

Mike Barnett and Amber Pike

Where you’ve seen them: Love is Blind (Season 1) Relationship status: Married You’ve been living under a rock if you still haven’t seen Love is Blind, a new dating series by Netflix. But in case you haven’t, you might want to move on to the next page to avoid major spoilers! If you’ve seen it then you’re safe!

Part of the premise of the show is couples agreeing to marry before even seeing each other. In the first episode, Mike Barnett chose Amber Pike over three other female contestants. And so the drama ensued with Amber eventually revealing that she was actually unemployed and in debt. Despite all that, Barnett and Amber still got married. Here’s hoping that their relationship will last!

Grant Kemp and Lace Morris

Where you’ve seen them: Bachelor in Paradise (Season 3)

Relationship status: Split up

Grant Kemp and Lace Morris got engaged after the third season finale of Bachelor in Paradise but before the year ended, the two decided to call it quits. Morris went on to appear on The Bachelor but quit after only three episodes.

In 2019, Morris gave an interview with SarahScoop.com where she described how she moved on from Grant. She met her husband, Russell, through the online dating app Bumble. The two currently reside in Denver.

Alan Cox and Kirlyam Da Costa

Where you’ve seen them: 90 Day Fiance (Season 1)

Relationship status: Happily married

So here’s how 90 Day Fiance works! The show featured couples who met online, one is an American while the other is a foreign resident. The couple had ninety days to get married or the visa that allowed the foreign partner to stay in the country would expire.

Very few successful marriages come out of this show but the love story of Alan Cox and Kirlyam Da Costa was such a hit. They got married in 2014 and welcomed a son in 2017. And they’re still going strong even after six years! #Goals!

Tila Tequila and Bobby Banhart

Where you’ve seen them: A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila (Season 2) Relationship status: Split up

In the second season of A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, film student Bobby Barhart went on the show and ended up being selected by Tila. Banhart eventually broke it off with the internet celebrity.

Now here’s the shady part. According to Tila, she and Banhart split because he “couldn’t handle” her hectic work schedule. But according to Banhart, the reality star ghosted him and never called him. The producers wouldn’t even give him Tila’s number. So I guess that takes out the “real” in “reality show.”

Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell

Where you’ve seen them: The Bachelor (Season 20) Relationship status: Split up Lauren Bushnell and Ben Higgins were on the twentieth season of The Bachelor together. Higgins chose Lauren as his fiancée but ended their engagement in 2017. Higgins couldn’t get over the fact that he and Lauren were over and tried to get back together with her. He was too little too late because Lauren didn’t want him back after the way he ended their relationship.

In 2019, Bushnell announced her engagement with singer Chris Lane. After that, Higgins released his own statement about his thoughts on Bushnell’s engagement and said that he couldn’t be “more excited” for her.
