Sean "Diddy" Combs: Maraya

Born Sean John Combs, but you might better know him as Puffy Daddy, Diddy, or most famous P. Diddy. The Harlem native is a rapper, record producer, actor and entrepreneur best known for his album No Way Out, that was certified seven times platinum. He has been very successful throughout his entire music career, winning two Grammy Awards and two MTV music video awards. P. Diddy’s entrepreneurial affiliation is with fashion design.

He has his own clothing lines Sean John and Sean by Sean Combs. The rapper might be worth about $475 million, but his yacht is worth $65 million – dam. It is easy to see how popular music artist, Sean “Diddy” Combs can afford this, but it’s crazy to imagine spending that much money on something you don’t literally live in. Branson has always been very interested in sailing and even has attempted to break world records. He owns one of the fastest catamarans in the world, Necker Belle. It can travel up to 20 knots, and Branson hires it out to others for the cost of $100,000 per week. The yacht can sleep up to 10 people.

Steve Jobs: Venus

Chances are, Steve Jobs is responsible for whatever device you’re reading this article on. Not only is he the co-founder, chairman and CEO of Apple Inc, but he was also the CEO and largest shareholder of Pixar Animation Studios. Jobs had a very interesting background. He was adopted as a child and raised in San Fransisco, dropped out of college and traveled India studying Buddhism all before he built his fame and fortune. Before his death, Steve Jobs commissioned the yacht to be built by Phillippe Starck. The yacht is built with glass features inspired by the Apple store designs, and it includes six bedrooms with a top-of-the-line electronic communication system to facilitate communication throughout the ship. The ship is run by a group of 27-inch iMac computers located in the wheel house. Job’s widow, Laurene Powell Jobs, maintains ownership of the vessel now and it's worth is $120 million.

Johnny Depp: Vajoliroja

Chances are very slim that you don’t recognize this name. Johnny Depp is a 52-year-old actor, musician and producer originally from Kentucky, where he most definitely would NOT need a yacht. He really hit it big in the 80s and his momentum seems to never have ceased. He won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor for his role in Pirates of the Caribbean – how appropriate that his beautiful yacht made the list, amiright? The name “Vajoliroja” comes from a combination of names in the Depp family: “Va” for Vanessa Paradis his girlfriend, “jo” for Johnny’s own name, “liro” after Depp’s daughter Lily Rose, and “ja” for Depp’s son, Jack.

This yacht was built by Blohm + Voss from Germany and is worth about $380 million today, but brand new cost $500 million. This gorgeous yacht is made up of 24 guest cabins, two swimming pools, three launch boats, a mini submarine, 70 crew members, a missile defense system and two helicopter pads.

Dolce and Gabbana: Regina D'Italia

The fashion house Dolce & Gabbana was founded in 1985 only five years after the two founders, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, first met in Milan. The 206-foot long vessel was designed by Stefano Natucci, and it includes every luxury you could imagine. Onboard features include an electrically designed sun deck, high-class bar, and an on-deck swimming pool. It requires a relatively large crew to keep it running and can house up to 12 guests in 6 different cabins. Just this year, Green changed the name of his beautiful Monaco-based vessel from Lionheart to Lioness V.

Bono: The Cyan

Bono, born Paul David Hewson, is the Irish rockstar most famous for being the lead singer of U2. He is about as well-rounded as it gets. Not only is he the lead singer of U2, but he essentially writes all the lyrics and is famous for his activism efforts. Majority of his focus is on Africa. He co-founded DATA, EDUN, Product Red and the ONE Campaign. He is recognized by Elizabeth II of the UK with honorary knighthood for his contribution to the music industry and philanthropy.

Like many millionaires with money to spend, he too purchased a beautiful luxury yacht named The Cyan. As the lead singer of U2, Bono has performed all over the world. Mansour Bin Sultan Zayed Al Nahyan: Topaz

Born Mansour bin Sultan Zayed Al Nahyan is more commonly referred to as Sheikh Mansour and paid $527 million for this beautiful boat. He is the young and handsome deputy prime minister if the United Arab Emirates and member of the ruling family Abu Dhabi (wiki). Sheik Mansour is a very successful business man with stakes in a wide variety of companies including Sky News Arabia, Abu Dhabi United Group and Virgin Galactic. Luxury yacht Topaz is 482 feet long, which is longer than some of the cruise ships that sail the waters.

Once you are onboard the ship, you have access to the vessel’s gym, swimming pool, two hot tubs, movie theater and two helicopter ports. The interior was personally designed by Terence Disdale. The outside was designed by Tim Heywood Design team. The ship is made up of eight decks and auxiliary boats. For when they’re wanting a joy ride other than on Topaz itself, they have their choice of jet skies, inflatable boats, a mini-submarine and small catamaran.

Robert Cavalli: Baglietto

The über Italian Roberto Cavalli is from the city of Florence and has an incredible way with prints, patchwork and denim. This 75-year-old fashion designer is well-known for being out-of-the-ordinary creative. Cavalli’s fashion designs often include exotic prints, and his unique colors and patterns have been incorporated into the design of his yacht, Baglietto. Nearly every person has worn clothing inspired by Roberto Cavalli’s designs, because he is credited for the idea of sand blasted jeans patterns.

His yacht incorporates a blend of colors on the side of the ship, that melts from gold, orange, red, purple, blue, and finally to green. The iridescent colors are easy to spot in any location on the water. He liked the look so much so, that his car and helicopter are painted the same way. According to Racked, it cost about $40 million to build, not including its expensive paint job.

Saddam Hussein: Al Mansur

 Most people don’t consider Saddam Hussein a “celebrity,” but he is a well-known villain in the states whose name is recognized around the world. In case you’re not well-versed in politics or foreign affairs, Saddam Hussein is the individual who President George W. Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair were most certain was holding extremely dangerous weapons of mass destruction. He was ultimately sentenced to death in 2006 by hanging, but only after this yacht was given to him as a gift.

When Hussein was called a hero by certain countries for initiating a war in the Middle East, a royal family in Saudi Arabia gave Hussein a yacht as a thank you gift. “Al Mansur” was 85 meters long and it had the perfect design for someone who might need a fast getaway. A secret passage on the yacht led down to an escape pod where a mini-submarine could be accessed. This beautiful ship was destroyed in a United States air strikes, and it sunk after being hit 16 times.

The gorgeous Australian actress and producer Nicole Kidman is one or women who top this list. The yacht features a comfortable space with luxurious finishes and you can find glossy cherrywood throughout the ship. Andrey Melnichenko: "A"

Another Russian billionaire who enjoys sailing the sea is Andrey Melnichenko. A reoccurring theme here – the more money you have – the bigger your boat. Obviously. And with Melnichenko possessing a net worth of $8 billion, it’s no wonder his yacht is massive! The 43-year-old Russian is the founder of MDM Bank, co-founded Eurochem, co-founded Suek, founded SGK and TMK- yeah, he has his hands full…of money.

His yacht, named “A” was designed by Philippe Starck and no expense was spared when the yacht was built. Fingerprint security access is required, and security is a high priority with 44 security cameras and bomb-proof windows. Not sure what kind of enemies Melnichenko has made over the years, but damn – seems like he is afraid of something. The interior features silver leaf walls and a stair case that cost $60,000. In the master bedroom, the king size bed can rotate with the push of a button, allowing him to enjoy the surrounding views without getting out of bed.
