20 Things You Didn't Know About The OJ Simpson Case: 20 Years Later

Nicole Brown’s Diaries Told Of ‘On-Going Violence’ by O.J.

When the bodies of Nicole Brown-Simpson, 35, and Ron Goldman, 25, were found stabbed to death outside of a Brentwood, California condo in June 1994, few could have imagined that it would ignite one of the biggest televised murder trials in history. The suspected murderer was Brown-Simpson’s ex-husband, former NFL star Orenthal James “O. J.” Simpson.

O.J. was eventually acquitted after an 18-month ordeal, dubbed the “Trial of the Century.” After dozens of interviews, screenplays, and even a book entitled If I Did It, it would surprise you how many details you may not have known about the case.

After her death in 1994, Brown-Simpson’s sister Denise Brown was able to read her diaries. According to Denise, the diaries told of a long string of domestic violence at the hands of O.J Simpson.

OJ Was Not Happy That Nicole Had Moved On

Nicole had never told her family about any of these incidents.

When the couple divorced in 1992, it was claimed that O.J was jealous of his wife’s relationships with other men. He wasn’t happy about her alleged liaison with former NFL player Marcus Allen.

O.J Said Sorry Over Nicole’s Casket

Allen claims he had no involvement with Nicole, but her close friend Faye Resnick says otherwise. In her book Nicole Brown Simpson: The Private Diary of a Life Interrupted, Resnick, current star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, wrote about the affair.

On the day of Nicole’s funeral, Kris Jenner claimed to have heard Simpson crying over his ex-wife’s casket. He apparently said “I’m sorry, Nic.

Brown-Simpson and Goldman Suffered Vicious Attacks

I’m sorry”. Everybody was wandering what he was sorry for exactly.

When Nicole’s body was discovered outside her condo, she had a large gaping neck wound that exposed her larynx and cut into her spine. She also had stab wounds on the left side of her neck, her scalp, and her hands.

Nicole Knew That O.J Would End Up Murdering Her

Goldman had tried to defend himself, but he also died after having his throat cut. He too, had wounds to his face, chest, hands, and thighs.

In an interview, family friend Kris Jenner, who at the time was married to OJ’s friend and Defense Attorney, the late Robert Kardashian, said Nicole knew that she was probably going to get killed and warned her about OJ’s violence. She added “She told me, ‘Things are really bad between O.J.

O.J Had An Affair With Nicole While He was Married

and I. He’s going to kill me and he’s going to get away with it’.”

Before O.J was married to Brown in 1985, he was married to Marguerite Whitley from 1969 to 1979. They had 3 children together. People say he was having an affair with Brown while still married to Whitley.

Was Nicole’s Death the Result Of a Drug Deal Gone Bad?

“I was unfaithful to both of my wives, and it’s what I’ve regretted most in my life,” said OJ. “I liked the way Nicole looked.”

Now, some 20 years after her mother’s death, OJ and Nicole’s daughter Sydney Brook Simpson still thinks that her mother’s death was the result of a drug deal gone wrong. They say her throat was cut like a Colombian necktie.

OJ Tried To Persuade House Guest To Give An Alibi

Sydney does not believe that her father did it.

Kato Kaelin was O.J’s house guest at the time. He said O.J tried to persuade him to provide an alibi.

Sources Say Johnny Cochran Rigged the Gloves

He said to him ”You know where I was Kato, you know I was in the kitchen at this time’.’ Kaelin, whose real name is Brian Jerard, went on to say “He was in the kitchen trying to convince me about what I believe now was an alibi for him.”

After the death of O.J’s lead defense attorney Johnny Cochran, former prosecutor Christopher Darden said that Cochran had torn the lining of the gloves to aid his “If It Doesn’t Fit, You Must Acquit” closing statement.

Nicole’s Condo In Brentwood Was Eventually Sold Off

“I think Johnny tore the lining so that O.J.’s fingers couldn’t go all the way up into the glove,” he shared.

After the gruesome murders and public attention brought to her condo on 875 S. Bundy Drive, Nicole Brown’s apartment stood empty for 2 years. It was sold for $200,000, which was way less than its asking price and extensively remodeled by the new owner.

Clark To Cochran: ‘I’m Not Wearing Any Panties’

The new owners also changed the address number. In 2006, the condo was sold again for $1.72 million.

In his 2013 memoir ‘Taking The Stand: My Life In The Law,’ one of the attorneys on Simpson’s team, Alan Dershowitz wrote that Johnny Cochran claimed as he was about to make his closing arguments, Los Angeles District Attorney Marcia Clark went to him and whispered, “When you’re up there, I want you to think of only one thing: I’m not wearing any underwear”.

OJ’s Ford Bronco Now Available For Parties

After speaking with Clarke, she said it was true.

We think the entire world watched OJ’s high speed freeway chase back in 1994. His white Ford Bronco became an infamous symbol of the case. Driven by his friend Al Cowlings, Simpson was reportedly in the backseat with a gun to his head, after he was formerly charged with the double murders.

OJ Returned To The Scene Of The Crime After His Acquittal

After the trial, collector Michael Pulwer purchased the vehicle for $75,000, nearly twice its original value. Today, it’s available to be rented out for parties.

Sources say that the former NFL star returned to his slain ex-wife Nicole Brown-Simpson’s condo at 875 S.

Prosecutor Clark Left Law After Simpson’s Acquittal

Bundy Drive just a month after being found not guilty of her and 25-year-old waiter Ron Goldman deaths.

The Los Angeles prosecutor, Marcia Clark ended her legal career following the trial. The O.J case marked the only murder trial she had ever lost.

Did Robert Kardashian Know More Than He Let On?

She went on to write 4 best-selling crime novels, and currently provides legal commentary for CNN, HLN and The Daily Beast.

When the late attorney and close friend of OJ was interviewed after the trial, he revealed that he had doubts about Simpson’s innocence based on the blood evidence surrounding the case. Cameras caught Robert Kardashian leaving OJ’s home carrying a Louis Vuitton bag, the contents of which, still remain a mystery.

O.J Is Still To Pay The $33.5 Million Owed To Ron and Nicole’s Family

Many think it contained key items that would have convicted the former football star.

After O.J Simpson’s acquittal in the criminal trial, the families of both Goldman and Brown sued Simpson in civil court. In 1997, a judge awarded them $33.5 million in damages.

Where O.J And Nicole’s 2 Children Are Now

To date, they’ve reportedly received less than one percent of the money which is about $330,000

Justin and Sydney Simpson were 5 and 8 years old when their mother was killed.

Kim Goldman Contemplated Killing O.J. In Revenge

Today, Justin is said to be working as a chef, while his older sister does event coordinating in Atlanta.

In her book, Can’t Forgive: My 20 Year Battle with OJ Simpson, Ron Goldman’s sister shares that she saw OJ in a parking lot a few years following his acquittal. She said she wanted to harm him in revenge.

Did O.J. Try To Sell The Murder Weapon For $5 Million?

“I was white-knuckling and revving up the car…I thought I could take him out” . She of course didn’t go through with it.

In 2012, a source told the National Enquirer that Simpson had kept the murder weapon, believed to be a German stiletto with a blade more than six inches long.

According to that same source, Simpson was negotiating to sell it to a wealthy collector for an astounding $5 million and was looking for a strictly cash only deal.
