The Predictions
Nostradamus was an astrologer known for his predictions of the future. Even though he's been dead for centuries, his predictions are still coming to fruition even today.
Here are the more modern ones that may happen in the next year or two. Don't worry, these really are just predictions, but some have coincidentally come true.
Nostradamus
These days Nostradamus is only really known for his predictions, but when he was alive, he was famous for much more.
He did a lot of work in Europe as a doctor during the Black Plague. His name soon became recognizable far and wide and only later in his life he started writing the many predictions and macabre poetry you know him for.
Poetry
He had to be clever and hide his predictions so that no one suspected anything.
He would use poetry to disguise his predictions in quatrains. There would be many metaphors to make sure it wasn't obvious. Otherwise, he may have been accused of witchcraft. Being accused of conjuring magic didn't normally end well for the accused.
The Other Reason
It also made sure that his poetry and predictions were more alluring to people that read them.
Using dark figurative language and brooding metaphors caught the attention of the population as creative poetry. But nobody knew that they were actually predictions for events far in the future. So what did he say about the year we're in right now?
Earthquake
He predicted that an earthquake would roll over the 'new world' and disrupt modern society. Where would that be?
California may be the symbol of the new world so it would be the logical place for it to happen. Nostradamus' predictions do often come true when it comes to natural disasters. We'll see about this one.
Earthquake Quatrain
"The Sun twenty [degrees] in Taurus, so strongly the earth trembles."
"The great theater filled up is ruined, The air, sky, and land darkened and troubled When the infidel calls upon God and the saints."
Soldiers
The first bit of stigma was surrounding brain chips. And we don't blame people for being afraid of technology.
Thinking of our modern soldiers being fitted with brain chips to make them pure killing machines like out of the terminator is a scary thought. This would change how wars would be fought.
Soldier Quatrain
"The newly made one will lead the army, Almost cut off up to near the bank: Help from the Milanais elite straining."
"The Duke deprived of his eyes in Milan in an iron cage."
Solar Eruptions
In his quatrains, he also predicted many floods, famine, and earthquakes. But further than that he also predicted solar storms.
A line in one of his brooding quatrains stated, "we will see the waters rise and the earth collapse on itself".

“Condom and Auch and around Mirande, I see fire from the sky which encompasses them."
He continued by saying, "Sun and Mars conjoined in Leo, then at Marmande, lightning, great hail, a wall falls into the Garonne."
Allied War
Two allied countries will get into a classic and open military conflict.
Unfortunately, this will only be the beginning because this conflict between these two seemingly “friendly” countries will degenerate into a global war, which will involve the most powerful countries in the world.
War Quatrain
He also spoke of great danger and war reigning down between gods. This would surely effect mankind too.
"In the city of God there will be a great thunder Two brothers torn apart by Chaos while the fortress endures The great leader will succumb The third big war will begin when the big city is burning."
Sea Level Rise
There is no doubt: the climate is constantly changing.
Out of all the apocalyptic scenarios which might come true, the sea level rise is the most dramatic. Presently, 50% of the world population lives in coastal areas.
Sea Quatrain
He also spoke of danger by the seas, this might have actually been a fore warning of Global Warming.
"Peace and plenty for a long time the place will praise: Throughout his realm the fleur-de-lis deserted: Bodies dead by water, land one will bring there, Vainly awaiting the good fortune to be buried there.”
Artificial Intelligence
The rise of technology in the 21st century is something we're all getting used to with Artificial Intelligence in most of our homes and tiny computers in our pockets.
But Nostradamus says it will backfire in unthinkable ways...
A.I. Quatrain
“The Moon in the full of night over the high mountain, The new sage with a lone brain sees it"
"By his disciples invited to be immortal, Eyes to the south. Hands in bosoms, bodies in the fire.”
Space Flight For All
In 2021, it will start a new era of space tourism.
Common people will fly into space, being able to admire spectacular views of the Earth. And considering we're already seeing people bid for seats on the first of many outer atmosphere adventures, it's safe to say this one has already come true - it's just insanely expensive.
Country Invasion
It's not just the allied war that he said will happen.
There was plenty to be said about Europe being invaded. However, it might simply be looking at mass immigration.
Zombie Apocalypse
This is probably the most far-fetched of Nostradamus' predictions for 2021.
According to him, these zombies will come from a Russian scientist who will create a biological weapon turning men into zombies.
Maintain Perspective
All this being said, it's important to remember a few things.
These were written hundreds of years ago, crafted in poetry, and translated over and over. Some say that his entire works are fake and silly. Other's say there are a few predictions that are eerily on the nose.
