These Are The Oldest-Living Hollywood Actors

As new talent is discovered every day, celebrities from the past are doomed to fade into obscurity. But not all celebrities are ashamed of it.

A lot of them have aged gracefully and are enjoying their golden years. From famous actors like Barbara Eden to popular singers like Mick Jagger, here are celebrities that are old but definitely still around and relevant.

Goldie Hawn was born in 1945 in Washington D.C. Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In was the first role where she got a lot of traction.

Appearing as a “dumb blonde” in her first performances, Hawn started to take on mature roles, and in the 1960s, she had become the “it” girl of the decade. But that was only the start of her long career.

Goldie Hawn made a big name for herself, appearing in numerous films and winning an Academy Award. In the last ten years, she’s made plenty of cameos in different shows.

In 2018 she portrayed Mrs. Claus in The Christmas Chronicles. The film was released on Netflix, and now she’s appeared in the 2020 sequel. She’s definitely showing that she doesn’t need to be young to get starring roles.

Angie Dickinson was born in 1931 in North Dakota. After getting 2nd place in a miss beauty Miss America contest, she was noticed by a scouting agent and got a role on the Jimmy Durante Show as a showgirl.

She got even more attention after that role, and that’s when her popularity exploded. For the next ten years, she never struggled to find work in acting.

Even after five decades of acting, Angie doesn’t seem to ever lose her popularity. She made a cameo on Ocean’s Eleven due to her being a star in the original 1960 movie of the same name.

In 2004, she played Bobette in “Elvis Has Left The Building.” With three Emmys, five Golden Globes, and numerous other awards, she has nothing to prove at 90 years young.

Barbara Eden was born in Tucson, Arizona. She used to sing in local bars for $10 a night and was eventually discovered and became a recurring guest on the Johnny Carson Show.

After finding roles in both Highway Patrol and the popular television series, I Love Lucy, Eden’s career skyrocketed, and she became one of the most popular celebrities of the 1970s.

Everyone can remember Barbara for her roles in television series like Bewitched. But even after 50 years of acting, she’s still going at it. The 90-year-old actress doesn’t seem to want to slow down.

She made a cameo in Long Island Medium in 2018, where she played herself. The actress has a lot of experience on her side, and who knows when she’ll officially retire.

Clint Eastwood is the oldest actor on our list, being born in 1930 in San Francisco, California. He managed to get a contract with a director on the condition that he attend drama classes – something he had never done.

Some of his initial criticisms became trademarks that Eastwood would keep on for his entire acting career. His most notable being him talking through gritted teeth.

After a very long and successful career, Clint Eastwood has been not only a successful actor but also a director. Filming critically acclaimed “Million Dollar Baby.”

But it seems the 91-year-old doesn’t want to quit any time soon. His most recent work was directing the movie “Cry Macho” in 2021. With 30 films with him being credited as the director, he probably doesn’t want to retire.

One of the most influential songwriters of all time and a notable Nobel Prize winner, Bob Dylan, was born in 1941 in Duluth, Minnesota. He moved to New York when he was twenty and dropped out of college.

He met his idol Woody Guthrie and decided to learn everything he could from his protege. He made his first album a tribute to the musician.

Since the 1980s, Bob Dylan has been on his “Neverending Tour.” Since 1988 he’s played more than 3,000 shows playing more than 100 a year. It seems the musician doesn’t think that he should retire.

Dylan recently sold all of his song rights to Universal Music. They had the rights to an estimated 600 songs and even have all future rights to his music. The estimated price they paid was $300 million.

Mick Jagger was born in 1943 in Dartford, Kent. In the 1960s, he played in between acts in an underground club in England. He renamed his then-unknown band from Rollin’ Stones to The Rolling Stones.

By later 1963, Mick had dropped out of college to pursue his career in music. And just a few years later, they were a very popular band.

With the same band member for more than 40 years, The Rolling Stones have never eased on the gas as they became immensely popular in both their home country and in the U.S.

Mick Jagger still tours with his band as the frontman and singer and has even been a producer on a few TV shows. The most recent being Vinyl in 2016. Despite his age of 78, he still records and tours regularly.

Dolly Parton was born in 1946 in Pittman Center, Tennessee, and has shown her many talents through her years. Parton grew up in a poor family of 12 children but, at a young age, discovered her musical talent.

At the age of only ten, she appeared on The Cas Walkman Show. By 13, she had her own deal with a record company and met one of her idols – Johnny Cash. He even gave her advice regarding the direction of her musical career.

More than 60 years later, Parton has proved herself to be more accomplished than just a musician. She has made numerous film appearances and has even shown her aptitude as a businesswoman.

Parton helped produce and star in “Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square,” which exclusively streamed on Netflix in 2020. With such recent work, she won’t be retiring soon.
