The Kids Who Played Forrest Gump And Jenny Are All Grown Up Now

Forrest Gump is an epic romantic-comedy-drama that was based on the 1986 novel of the same name

Forrest Gump was one of those movies that it felt that literally EVERYONE LOVED. I mean, it was hard not to – you had the classic lines, the cool historical nods that made everyone lose it, the running!

It was a perfect Robert Zemeckis film and it pays off having Tom Hanks play the role beautifully. But maybe we should pay attention to the parts of the film we might have neglected...

Forrest Gump

The movie followed the slow-witted but good-hearted man from Alabama who gets to see and straight-up influence important cultural moments in American history in the latter half of the 20th century.

Jenny

Forrest, at the start of the film, has a medical condition that forces him to wear these leg braces – but they won't stay on him for long.

Jenny was played by young Hanna Hall, who played the role beautifully – and even as a kid it was not hard to see what Forrest saw in her.
Throughout the story he was constantly intertwined with her and she grows up to be part of the hippie and free-love movement. Wonder what happened to the kids who gave us this classic line?
"Run, Forrest!

Michael Conner Humphreys

Run!"

First off, the actor who played Forrest Gump as a boy, Michael Conner Humphreys, turned into a REAL-LIFE hero.
He grew up and signed up for the US Army in 2004.

Turns out he was inspired by the REAL marines he met on set.

Gump Title

In fact, in 2008, he left to fight in Iraq and served for 18 months overseas. His nickname in camp?

Gump. Duh.
After his tour, however, Michael left the army to study International Relations at the University of North Alabama.

Charity Run

Earlier this year he ran in a six-mile charity run, and people in the crowd cheered him on by shouting "run Forrest, run." He hasn't acted much, though. He did have a small role in 2011's Pathfinders.

But no more movies after that.

Young Love

But then we come to Ms.

Jenny, the love of young Forrest's life

Hanna Hall

So this is actress Hanna Hall as a grown-up!

Since 2012, the 32 year old has directing underground plays as a theater director in Venice, California.

Homecoming

Soon after her role in Forrest Gump, she starred as an orphaned child in the 1996 TV movie Homecoming that co-starred Anne Bancroft.

Halloween

She appeared in Rob Zombie's 2007 remake of Halloween as Judith Myers but things don't end well for her.

She also showed up in Sofia Coppola's movie adaptation of The Virgin Suicides.

Criminal Minds

She just appeared in a lot of short films and even an episode of Criminal Minds.

In 2009, she also could be seen in the independent comedy American Cowslip opposite Val Kilmer and Cloris Leachman.

Mykelti Williamson

After Mykelti Williamson was on Forrest and he was also on the TV version of 12 Angry Men, Ali and Lucky Number Slevin.

He's also shown up in The Final Destination and The Purge: Election Year.

CSI: NY

He also reunited with Lieutenant Dan's Gary Sinise on CSI: NY.

In this pic, the two actors are taking a selfie with Tom Hanks.

CSI: NY

For a while Haley Joel Osment showed up on the Sixth Sense and Pay It Forward. But these days...The little tyke was LITERALLY everywhere.

Well, not literally.

Entourage

He's certainly grown up and showed on the Entourage movie as one of the villains. He costarred in the Will Ferrell–produced comedy melodrama miniseries The Spoils of Babylon and The Spoils Before Dying.

The 28-year old has grown a lot from "seeing dead people."

Sally Field

In case you missed it, Sally Field was NOT that old as her role onscreen as David Copperfield, From the Earth to the Moon and Brothers & Sisters.

Since Forrest Gump it looks like she had a Benjamin Button thing going on!

Spider-Man

But she also was one of the Aunt Mays that Spider-Man had.

She was Aunt May Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man and the sequel!

22 Years

It's been 22 years since Forrest Gump captivated the world!

Military

AKA the kid Forrest Gump actually went to the military and the young Jenny grew up directing!
