A Cat's Cries
Someone had heard the cat's cries and got worried. They thought the cat might have been hurt and asked for help. They were half right.
The cat was asking for help, but not for herself. The animal had discovered an abandoned baby in a garden and was trying to get the attention of someone who could help. But when her owners got there, they realized that things were much more complicated than they appeared.
Kiki The Cat
Cats can be loyal to their home and owners more than people ever thought possible. Perhaps this is why one curious cat couldn't walk away when she heard a strange noise.
Kiki, the cat, knew she had to do something to help because someone was clearly in distress. The thought of running away and charging in the opposite direction of the crying didn't even cross her mind. Kiki knew she couldn't leave the scene. Instead, she knew she had to help in one way or another.
Sam
As a resident of Oslo, Norway, Sam had spent a huge part of his life living in a large home surrounded by many of his friends and acquaintances. But not all of the residents were human.
The area was also home to a cat named Kiki, who took up residence in the entrance hall. People believed that Kiki first made her way into the house a few years back and loved it so much that she didn't want to leave. Sam was the one the cat seemed to visit the most, although everyone in the neighborhood cared for the cat as if they were her owners.
Disappearance
One morning Sam noticed that Kiki hadn't touched her food. After calling for her for a while, he realized that the cat had disappeared or something must have happened to her.
At first, he looked for Kiki by himself and even asked the people in the area if they saw her. There was no sign of her. It wouldn't take long before the cat reappeared, starting a chain of events that shook the entire neighborhood.
Weird Sounds
Kiki lived a perfect life in that house for around three years before something upset her daily antics. Kiki was a relatively quiet cat and kept to herself, which is why the surrounding residents were so surprised and upset to hear Kiki crying and meowing at the top of her lungs.
One particular resident thought Kiki was being harmed somehow and immediately left his apartment to see what was going on.
Searching
The man who first heard Kiki ran outside in the garden to find her and was quickly followed by someone else. The resident wasn't the only one to hear Kiki's intense meow.
Sam also heard the piercing noise from his house and knew something was wrong. Kiki was such a huge part of his life that he just couldn't imagine how he would feel if she was hurt or injured. So Sam followed the other resident and made his way outside to find her sitting there and making weird noises. Then the two realized something was terribly wrong.
Not Alone
The two men realized that Kiki wasn't alone. They stared at each other for a few seconds while they took in the scene in front of them. There was Kiki in a spot she often used to sleep, looking up at them.
But there was also a new addition next to her, lying next to a tree in the garden and behind the place that Kiki usually used as a bed.
What To Do
The two men held their breaths, seeing the incredible scene before them. The cat appeared to be lying down on something as if protecting it or hiding it.
At first, they weren't sure what it was and why the cat didn't move, but when the men got closer to Kiki, they saw something terrible. Their jaws dropped. What was going on?
More People Joined In
How could this happen in the capital of Norway? The two men wondered while thinking about what to do. Before long, a few other people from the neighborhood joined in.
Everyone was holding their heads in disbelief. But no matter what, they knew they had to do something. While one person tried to get closer to the cat, another called the authorities. This was definitely beyond them.
Incredible Cat
The family cat destroyed the stereotype that felines are distant and cold animals by caring for an abandoned child when it needed it the most. Well, it seems that feline friends aren't any less curious than humans.

Protector

Instead of hissing at or scaring him, she decided to look after the baby as if it were her own and make sure that he was okay. She lay down next to the newborn and kept him warm.

A Cat's Actions
Sam was incredibly overwhelmed and had no idea what to do at first. It wasn't until he really looked at the situation that he realized Kiki had actually been keeping the baby warm for hours and trying to get the attention of the people around her.
She had shown how incredible a cat could be. They had just the same emotional range as humans and could show compassion when it mattered.
Shielding The Baby
Amazingly Kiki had been able to shield the young child from the harsh conditions outside, and she may have even saved the baby's life.
While those around Kiki were incredibly impressed with her and her life-saving act, they were also worried about the child. Was he okay? How long had he been there? Where were his parents? Sam could see that the baby was incredibly young and vulnerable. Something needed to be done soon.
Calling For Help
Kiki, the cat, had called for help and the people who were at the scene needed to call as well. It was time to take action.
So they decided to call the police and the paramedics. They knew that the authorities would know what to do with the abandoned child but also wanted to ensure that the baby was healthy.
Overprotective
However, the people didn't anticipate that Kiki would be quite so protective of the baby. In fact, Kiki did not want the baby to leave her side. She had grown incredibly fond of the infant and tried to ensure it wouldn't be harmed.
Because of this, Kiki followed the baby wherever it was taken. When paramedics took the child to the ambulance to give him a checkup, Kiki followed closely behind. Not only this, but she also meowed at the ambulance until she saw the baby with her own eyes.
Something Unexpected
The infant was taken to the nearest hospital. Medical professionals take baby health very seriously. They try to take the utmost care when it comes to infants. But this was no ordinary baby.
They’d find something that they could have never expected once they gave it an examination.
A Trip To The Hospital
The ambulance lights lit up the street as it sped off away from the house. It would go as fast as it needed to to make sure the baby would make it. They had no idea what kind of condition it was in.
The baby was stable, but they had no idea how malnourished it could be. They just prayed they could make it to the hospital in time.
Arriving At The Hospital
The ambulance went through every red to get to the hospital in time. They mounted the curb and stopped right outside the hospital. They quickly carried the baby through its doors so that they could examine it.
But the most unexpected thing would happen once they took a look at the infant. It was something they’d always remember.
Checking On The Child
They rolled the baby into the pediatric ward, and some specialists took a look. They ran down the standard procedure of checking the baby for anything harmful.
They checked to make sure the baby wasn’t malnourished before checking its vitals. Everything seemed normal initially, but the surprise was still to come.
Sam Came To Check In
Sam decided to go and check in on the baby at the hospital. He felt partly responsible because his cat had found it in his garden.
He got into his car and drove to the hospital. They still didn’t know who the baby was, so he thought he’d have a hard time being able to see them. But he couldn’t believe what he’d see once he got there.
Asking Around
Sam was right. He had a difficult time at the front desk. He described the infant, but they gave him a concerned look. Were they worried he was there to hurt the child? He just wanted to help. The poor infant had no one to look out for it right now.
He decided that he’d make himself useful and made a post about the child. Still, who knew what kind of people would come forward?
Making The Post
He didn’t want any creeps to come to the hospital, so he was vague. He explained the circumstances surrounding the baby and which hospital it was at.
Surely the mother would come forward? This child needed parents more than anything else. But would they come forward?
Someone Came To Check
What Sam didn’t know was that there was already someone in the hospital that was trying their best to find the baby. The only problem was that it wasn’t the parents.
They weren’t even technically a person. That would be the most surprising thing about everything. But they’d find a way to the child regardless.
A Trespasser
The trespasser was skulking down the halls. They were motivated to find the child before Sam or the parents did. Their motives were unclear, but once the doctors saw them, they’d be out of their skin.
They were close to the infant now. They knew exactly which room they were in because of their intuition. Who was this intruder?
A Meow
The doctor leaped out of his skin when the intruder made a noise behind him. It was a meow. It was Kiki. She had snuck into the ambulance to make sure the baby was okay.
They couldn’t believe the feline had made her way all the way to the child just through her sense of smell. Sam would hear his cat and come running.
Reunited
Sam had no idea that Kiki was even missing. Cat’s come and go as they please, and he assumed she was somewhere in their neighborhood - not in the pediatric ward of the hospital.
He’d scoop her up and explain the situation to the doctors. They had a chuckle and let him know that the baby was completely fine.
Parents Come Forward
Soon after finding out the condition of the baby, Sam got a call. It was the parents of the infant. They were his neighbors, and they had no idea how their baby had ended up in his garden.
They had been worried sick and even called the police hours ago. This was how Sam knew they were, in fact, the real parents.
All Ended Well
The parents were relieved to be able to see their child. They were worried sick and thought they might never see their baby again.
But all thanks to Sam and Kiki, the child got everything they needed from the hospital and was discharged soon after.
Doing Fine
The child got to go home safely, and Sam got to have an interesting story to tell his friends. But somewhere else, something equally as amazing was happening.
Another incredible story unfolded in Russia, which yet again proves that cats are much more intelligent and loyal than we are led to believe.
Loud Noises
The train sirens were blaring. He heard the sound of a cat meowing in the dark. He applied the emergency brake immediately out of concern for the poor animal.
A further surprise was revealed when the officer saw what the cat was sheltering. The incredible Katie cat was warming a baby between rails.
Loyalty
Most cats, especially female cats, can understand what a baby is when they encounter it. If they sense something is threatening to a child, they will protect him or her.

A Cold Evening
Nobody knows how Katie ended up at the Vladivostok station; however, she showed up one winter’s evening in 2012. It had been one of the coldest winters the country had ever seen.
Anton was busy doing his work when he heard noises coming from the outside. Initially, he shrugged it off, but when it didn’t stop, he knew he needed to go check it out. That’s when he spotted a shivering kitten. He immediately took her inside, and he would soon learn how this decision changed the course of his life.
Everyone Loved Her
From that evening, Katie became the train station’s pet. She was well-loved by all of the workers, but Anton adored her more than most.
He always ensured that she had food and water and gave her the occasional back scratch. Anton understood how cold it was out there and was happy to provide her with a place where she could be safe and warm.

Anton noticed his colleagues rushing down the stairs to where Katie normally slept, and he promptly followed. He let out a sigh of relief when he found her sitting there making noises. However, he soon realized that she was not alone.
A Baby!
The two officers exchanged long looks as they observed the situation in front of them. There was Katie in her usual place, watching them from a box she typically used as a bed, but there was also a baby beside her, sleeping behind the rubbish chute.

A baby's life may have been saved by Katie's miraculous ability to keep the little youngster safe from the dangerous weather.
