Tenant Accuses Landlord Of Being Unprofessional, Landlord Gets The Perfect Revenge

Jenny Thompson fought back the tears as she sat in the waiting room of the courthouse. Her ex-tenants sitting across from her kept staring and laughing at her.

“We’re gonna take her to the cleaners. She’s going to regret ever messing with us," she heard one of the flatmates say. Little did they know how much they would regret messing with her. Jenny was much smarter than they thought.

Small-Time Landlord

A few years ago, Jenny inherited her grandmother's apartment and became a small-time landlord. Having dealt with many terrible landlords herself, she tried her best to be as kind as possible to her tenants.

But not everyone would appreciate her generosity and kindness.

Lease Is Almost Up

As her tenants' lease was due in a few months, Jenny sent them a letter asking if they were happy with the accommodation and if they wanted to prolong their lease.

However, she never received a response from them.

Waiting

Jenny waited for a few more weeks, thinking that her tenants were just busy or they hadn't gotten the letter.

However, the time was ticking, and she needed to know whether she should look for new tenants or not. Eventually, Jenny was forced to list her property online to start arranging viewings.

Two Letters And An Email

By that point, she had already sent out two letters and an email to her tenants.

She figured that if they wanted to prolong their lease, they would have said so by now.

Dogs In A Pet-Free Apartment

Jenny had always been an understanding landlord. She never said a word when her tenants brought two Pitbulls into her tiny apartment despite it being pet-free.

But when she eventually started to organize viewings, her tenants made a huge deal out of it.

"Infected Kids"

Jenny had received many calls and emails after she put her property online.

When she knocked on the door to let the tenants know about the upcoming viewing, they began shouting at her and accusing her of bringing "infected" kids to the apartment.

The Day Of

On the day of the viewing, Jenny had no other choice but to bring her children to the viewing as her partner was away on a business trip, and she couldn't leave them alone at home.

Since her tenants also had children, she thought they would understand.

Dirty Apartment

The tenants were still there when she entered the apartment, and they hadn't cleaned the property. They refused to go outside so she could show the apartment to the viewers.

Fortunately, Jenny still secured a new tenant. But her old tenants were out for revenge.

The VoiceMail

A few hours after the viewing, Jenny received a rude voicemail from the father of the old tenants, calling her "unprofessional" and a "bad person."

He told her that her children had touched his children's toys, and now they had to sterilize the entire apartment as her children were infected.

Revenge

It was at that moment that Jenny decided enough was enough and stung her old tenants with a five-day eviction notice. She even called their emergency contact to make sure they received the letter.

Jenny's revenge was coming.

Damages

Surprisingly, they complied and moved out. However, they didn't pay their last electrical bill and left the apartment in dirty, damaged condition.

The security deposit wasn't enough to cover the bills and the damages. So when the tenants refused to cover the costs, Jenny decided she would make them regret messing with her.

At The Court

Fast forward to the court day, and Jenny was sitting across from her old tenants with notes in her hands.

She came to the court fully prepared. She had brought all the letters, receipts, and photos to back up her point. But despite winning the case, the tenants still refused to pay up.

Avoiding The Responsibility

As Jenny approached her old tenants to sign the cheque for her money, they tried one last time to avoid paying.

They told her they couldn't sign the document because they had no pen. Then, the mother got up and started to walk away. Jenny grabbed her by the shoulder. “Where do you think you’re going?” she asked.

Signed

Jenny handed the woman a pen, and she finally signed the cheque.

This day was one of the best days in Jenny's life. She was finally free of her evil tenants.
