“You’re not my son! My son would never do something this horrible,” Bianca screamed at Dylan. He could feel the pain and agony in his mother’s voice, and he was starting to realize what a terrible mistake he had made.
Dylan tried to find an excuse for him, but it was too late now. His mom was furious, and she had a plan for how to teach her son a good lesson.
Who Was Dylan?
Dylan was a kid who took pride in a lot of wonderful things. He had participated in sports, helped his mother in any way he could, and always aced his exams. Bianca couldn’t be more proud of his son, and she often told him how she felt.
Just before turning 16, Dylan had been the apple of his mother’s eyes. Whenever they were together, you could see how Bianca was gleaming with pride. They were each other’s best friends, especially since she was a single mother and he had no other siblings.

Dylan’s mother started noticing something different about her son when he started high school. He didn’t change physically, but she knew that there must be something going on beneath the surface. Bianca noticed it for the first few months of school, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it.

One night he received a text message from one of his friends, “There’s a party at my house. Just bring drinks to get in.” Dylan couldn’t contain his excitement – this was the fun he had been longing for, and he had to go. However, he had no money to buy drinks, so would he attend?

As soon as he received the invitation, Dylan tried to think of ways to get the money he needed to buy drinks. He called one of his friends to ask if he would lend him the money he needed. Not only did he fail his classes, but he was also getting in debt from his classmates. So he planned the unthinkable: he would steal money from his mother’s wallet. Even though he was starting to rebel, he still felt bad about what he would do, but he had no other choice.
It Was a Success
That night, he played on his computer while his mother was tidying up the kitchen. A few minutes later, his mother said, “I’m going to bed. Turn off all the lights before you go up.” Dylan nodded and gave his mother a smile – he had to carry out his plan.
He started looking for his mother’s wallet, and he found it lying on top of their refrigerator. Upon opening it, he saw there were a bunch of USD 10 bills, so he took one and put the wallet back where he got it. This whole stealing thing made Dylan’s heart race, and he thought how easy it was to get money without even trying hard.

Although, her son didn’t mind this absence because this meant that he could keep doing what he was doing. He didn’t care that his mother worked very hard to provide for his needs. All he cared about was that he was well-liked by his friends, and he had the cash whenever he needed it.
His Birthday Was Coming Up
Since it was just Bianca and Dylan, she tended to spoil him with the best gifts whenever his birthday came up. Last year, she got her son the latest iPad, which made Dylan the talk of the class. Most of his friends were jealous of how great his gifts were, so he was already looking forward to what his mother would get him this year.
While they were eating breakfast, Bianca thought it would be best to ask her son what he wanted for his birthday. She asked, “Do you have any idea of what you might like for your birthday this year?” This made Dylan’s face glow, and he gave his mother a sly smile.
Making a Wish List

Bianca sat in the kitchen with her arms crossed, and she gave her son a very discreet smile. After that embarrassing encounter with his mother, Dylan finally felt the consequences of his actions. He knew that he had to turn his life around if he wanted to stop being a disappointment. Deep inside, he knew his mother was hurt but that she still loved him.
Dylan tried to apologize to his mother a few times, but he knew that she would only accept the apology if she saw results. So he cut off his ties with the people who were dragging him down, and it didn’t even matter if they called him a loser. All that mattered to Dylan was getting his mom’s forgiveness.
Getting a Job at the Pizzeria
He also got a job at his local pizzeria, and this really made Bianca happy again. She could see that her son was trying to turn his life around, and she was elated with everything that’s been happening. Still, Dylan felt bad because of all the money he stole from his mother.
So on his first paycheck, he decided to write his mother a card that said, “Mom, I’m sorry for taking money out of your wallet. I should never have done this, but I have learned my lesson. In this envelope, you’ll find USD 90 to pay you back.” Bianca was overwhelmed with emotions, but she loved her son all the more for this.

Dylan had learned the hard way that there will always be consequences to our bad actions. Luckily, it wasn’t too late, and he had the chance to turn his life around, which was all thanks to his mother, Bianca.
