Teacher Puts Note In Kid's Lunchbox, Gets Fired For It

Francesca was furious after reading the teacher's note. How could someone be so heartless?

She immediately called the school and demanded an explanation.

Meet Francesca And Kyler

Francesca Easdon and her 5-year-old son Kyler were residing in Texas. Kyler had recently stopped eating healthy things and began craving junk food.

As a result, he started gaining weight.

Eating Situation

Francesca tried everything in her power to get her son to eat healthy food, but Kyler refused to eat greens.

Francesca hated fighting with Kyler, so she informed his daycare about his eating situation. The staff was understanding at first and even offered to help.

Making Progress

Francesca continued to put greens in her son's lunchbox, and she would write small notes to encourage him to eat healthier.

Soon, Kyler began eating more veggies and fruits and fewer chips and cookies. But then someone decided to intervene...

She Wrote A Note

One day, Francesca wrote a small note for Kyler and put it in his lunch box. "Please tell Kyler that his mommy loves him so much, and I'm thinking about him," she wrote.

With that, she dropped him off at the Rocking Horse Day Care and went to work.

Another Note

That night she opened his lunchbox and saw a new note written in sharpie. It was from Kyler's daycare teacher.

After reading the note, Francesca broke into tears. How could someone have done this? This woman needed to be taught a lesson.

"Put Him On A Diet"

In her note, the daycare teacher wrote, "No! Put him on a diet and go away!"

Francesca took a photo of the offensive note and shared it on social media. Soon, parents from all over the world began expressing their disgust with Kyler's daycare center. But this was only the beginning...

She Searched For Her On Facebook

Francesca searched for the spiteful woman on Facebook. Her jaw nearly dropped when she found her profile.

Meanwhile, her Facebook post had gathered almost 2000 reactions and 1000 shares and comments. People couldn't believe the teacher dared to body shame a child.

Inappropriate Content

On the teacher's Facebook account, Francesca found a lot of inappropriate content, including photos of alcohol and drugs.

Furious, she contacted the daycare and arranged a meeting with the director. How did it go?

Furious

“I sent this note in Kyler's lunchbox, thinking that it would make him smile at lunchtime, but instead, I received this in return from one of the teachers!” Francesca recalls.

“Of course, I was absolutely livid and immediately reached out to the school. First thing this morning, I was at the school waiting on the director.”

The Meeting

After the meeting, she posted an update on her Facebook account.

“I was assured that it was being investigated and handled, yet almost no remorse was shown. I also brought to their attention the fact that on his teacher’s public Facebook page, there were mass posts regarding drug use and other very inappropriate content,” Francesca wrote.

Zero Remorse

“The teacher that wrote this note confessed while I was at work and was fired, but nothing has been done about the other situations,” she continued.

“Zero remorse for their actions. I am disgusted that I put my trust in these people to care for my child, and this is what I get in return. I have removed Kyler from this daycare and am enrolling him in a beautiful new facility.”

Picky Eater

She went on to say, "We have been working with Kyler on his eating, he's extremely picky! I have been introducing new healthy options in his lunchbox and discussed the changes with his school."

"And for the record, I feel that Kyler is absolutely perfect the way he is. I'm just helping him make healthier choices. Instead of his school being supportive, I am in absolute shock at what happened."

The Reaction

Her Facebook friends and followers were happy to hear that the teacher had been fired.

"I cannot believe a teacher would write something like this. It is appalling! Your son does not even the slightest bit need to be "put on a diet." And even if he did, writing a not like that is immature, inappropriate and just ignorant," one user wrote.

Shocked

"I can not believe someone actually wrote this!! I am so sorry that you have gone through this. And I will certainly tell everyone I know about this experience," another person wrote.

Francesca is currently looking for a new daycare center for her son. “I’m worried about the higher cost, but I will make it work, no matter what I have to do. Kyler’s safety and level of care come first. Sorry for the long post, but I feel it’s so important to share this.”
