Jonathan Lye and his wife hired a nanny for their son. Even though she seemed perfect for the job, they were not 100% sure if they could trust her, so they set security cameras in their house. When Jonathan watched the recording, he noticed something that made him gasp.
"Dear, look at that"- he called his wife with a trembling voice. When she rushed to him, Mrs. Lye looked at the screen - there was a suspicious figure entering their house. They were both horrified, and something needed to be done till it wasn't too late.

Jonathan Lye and his wife are a young family from California. They live in a quaint little town called Irvine and have a son named Josh.
Both parents work full-time as Jonathan is in real estate while on the other hand, his wife is a lawyer in a large company. They are a happy family but they do have their own issues.
No Time For Josh
Since they both are working as full-time professionals, they started finding it hard to take care of Josh at the same time.
They had already taken help from some of their friends and grandparents but they knew that they would have to come up with something more concrete. Getting a certified nanny seemed like an easy and practical way to go.
Searching For Options
After deciding that they would have to hire a nanny, they started looking for options online. They contacted many agencies and interviewed many nannies.
They wanted someone who would take Josh out for outdoor walks, cook him home-cooked meals and clean their home as well. It was getting considerably harder to find someone who met all the criteria.

The couple finally settled on one candidate for this immensely important role. This is where Jenna Lee Baker comes in. Jenna is a young woman with little work experience.
She seemed like a good fit for the job but the couple were yet to see how she behaves with Josh. Jenna wanted the job as well as she had her own intentions to cater to.
Perfect At Her Job
The couple could evidently notice that how good Jenna was with Josh. She literally spoon fed him and rushed to protect him at every step. She used to treat him in the same manner as he was her own child.
Jonathan and his wife were indeed happy that they had chosen the right candidate, but destiny had some nasty surprises planned for them. Jenna might have seemed perfect at first but she wasn’t. In some ways.
Jonathan Bumps Up The Security
Jonathan had this intuition about his son Josh that he was inching towards danger. As a protective father, he decided to act on his intuition immediately.
He installed several security cameras in and around the house to keep a watch on Josh. For reasons unknown, Jenna wasn’t comfortable with the idea of being watched on. Probably because her intentions weren’t noble.
Natural At It
Jonathan and his wife were really happy with how Jenna was performing her job as a nanny. They could sense that Josh was happy with her as well. Jonathan also claimed that she was a natural at it, unlike other nannies who were playing a role.
Even on the recorded footage, Jonathan could see nothing wrong. But a camera cannot necessarily peek into someone’s mind, right? Jenna was coming out to be a great nanny but she was an introvert too. She used to keep quiet most of the time as if she was plotting or thinking something.
Outdoor Games With Josh
As a part of their regular ordeal, Jenna took Josh to the playground. Outdoor games are a must for the growing body and this is the reason why Jenna used to take Josh to the park every day after his classes. Josh was having fun, running around the swings and slides.
Jenna was sitting nearby, staring at Josh in a weird and unsettling way. She brushed away the thoughts that were piling up in her head and cleaned Josh up. It was time to go home.
Something Was Off
Jenna and little Josh arrived at their doorstep and Jenna was about to open the door when she sensed something weird. Quietly, she opened the door and it was clear as day.
Something was definitely wrong with their home and Jenna could sense it. First, she noticed that some things weren’t in the same place as she left them. She had no idea that the horror show was only beginning.
Not The Work Of A Child
It was crystal clear that it definitely wasn’t the work of a child because Josh was out with Jenna since that morning.
When Jenna scanned their ground floor, she found out that other rooms were a complete mess. Her instincts were continuously ringing that both her and Josh were in grave danger.
Ran Into The Kitchen
Jenna had clearly instructed Josh to stay close to her as she scanned their entire place. But all of a sudden, Josh ran towards the kitchen.
He started shouting at her to come and join him. That is exactly when Jenna heard something that shook her to the core.
Heard A Noise
Jenna could clearly make out that the weird noise was nothing else but the footsteps of someone walking on the first floor. This is when she realized that they weren’t alone in their home.
There was someone else in their home who had bad intentions. Was it all Jenna’s plan or was it something else entirely?
Young Defenceless Woman
We cannot figure out what we would have done in this situation, especially if we were a young defenceless woman. Jenna knew that she had to do something and that too, immediately because it wouldn’t take more than 3-5 seconds for the intruder to come down and harm them, including little Josh.
She mustered up all her courage and did something that earned her the title of ‘super nanny’ later on.
Ran For The Street
As a lightning-quick reaction to the confirmation that there indeed was an intruder, Jenna picked Josh up and ran towards the street. Just when she was about to exit their home, she turned back and got a glimpse of the intruder.
He was a large man who was climbing down the stairs as if he was hungry for their blood. He was catching up with them. What would Jenna do?
Called The Police
She immediately ran towards their neighbours’ place and this is when the intruder decided to run the other way.
Without losing any more time, Jenna called the police and later on, she called Jonathan as well.
Security Camera Footage
When Jonatha scrutinized the security camera footage, he could clearly see the man breaking and entering their home. The video shows the intruder walking around the house in search of jewelry and wallets.
The man looked dangerous and it wouldn’t be wrong to assume that he could have posed some serious threat to Josh if Jenna hadn’t grabbed him and ran towards the street.
Hard To Imagine
When Jonathan got to know about the incident, he admitted that it was hard to imagine that this could happen to his family.
He also stated that all his sense of security in the house was completely violated.
Thoughts About Jenna
In an interview that Jonathan gave, later on, he was all praises for Jenna. “What Jenna did for my son is incredible.
I am truly grateful to her and glad that she is in our life. I am glad that we took the right decision of including her in our family as a nanny.”
A Guardian Angel
Jenna is a fragile young lady who didn’t think about herself in the moment of panic, instead, she grabbed Josh and saved his life as well.
Jonathan believes that Jenna has literally become Josh’s guardian angel and we couldn’t agree more! They were lucky to have her.
Would Have Done The Same
Even after pulling off such a heroic feat, Jenna remains humble and modest. “I don’t see myself as a hero because everyone would have done the same in her place.”
She said in an interview. You might be humble Jenna but that doesn’t mean that you aren’t a hero!
