I thought that you’re the most beautiful girl in this bar, and I would love to buy you a drink.” The girl giggled and said, “Hi, I’m Caroline. I would love to have a drink with you.” This was the start of a beautiful and long-lasting relationship.
A Blossoming Relationship
Not long after their unexpected meeting, Steven and Caroline formed a blossoming relationship. Caroline understood that Steven’s job had him working for half a year abroad and that this was his priority. Every time he would come home from his deployment, Caroline would ask Steven if he could just get a job inside the country. His deployment was so frequent, and he had been missing out on all the critical milestones that their son, Jonathan, had been having in his life. Receiving the Coordinates
Steven expected this kind of text from Caroline, but he simply sent her some coordinates. The destination was a house in the middle of their city, but she had never been there before. She was curious and wanted to get to the bottom of things, so she drove to the location.
While driving, a lot of thoughts were going through Caroline’s mind. Maybe this was a house that Steven had bought for their family, or perhaps it was a surprise that he had been keeping from her. Although she was feeling unsafe when she drove through a very sketchy neighborhood – was there anything for her in that place?
A Very Sketchy Neighborhood
Caroline felt unsafe while driving through this sketchy part of town, but she wanted to give her husband the benefit of the doubt. Ultimately, she ended up in front of a dilapidated house, and it seemed to have been abandoned for quite some time. She then decided whether she should go in and inspect what was inside…
As she headed for the house, the door was locked. Then she tried opening it with the key that Steven sent, and it surprisingly unlocked the front door. Caroline wandered around, but she could feel sick to her stomach because of the stench lingering in the house.
The Unthinkable Happened
She kept walking around while thinking about things that could happen. Maybe this was a house that Steven bought for their family, but she couldn’t imagine why he would do that. After all, this place was disgusting, and she didn’t want to raise Jonathan in this kind of neighborhood.
Then a mysterious figure appeared in front of her, and this guy held a rusty knife. This man apparently lived there, and he demanded all of Caroline’s belongings, even her phone. She had no choice but to give everything to this man, and he quickly dashed away and drove using Caroline’s car – what was she going to do now?
Her Knight in Shining Armor
Caroline was desperate – she had no means of calling the police, and she had no car. Everything seemed to worsen when she realized that she had to pick up Jonathan from school. Things had gotten so bad, and she felt so much remorse for Steven.
Then a guy drove towards her and asked if she needed a lift. She broke down crying and said, “I was just robbed, and I have to go pick up my son. I would appreciate it if you could help me out.” This man’s name was Abraham, and he gladly took her to pick up Jonathan, and he even dropped her home – but something wasn’t right when she got to her house…
Who Was in Her House?
She realized that a car was parked on her driveway, but she had no idea who the owner was. Upon opening her front door, Caroline was greeted by a full-sized pillow with Steven’s face on it. The man said, “We needed a way to get you out of the house to distract you so we can set up this big surprise…”
Caroline wasn’t happy – as a matter of fact, she asked the man to leave, and she broke down crying. Abraham could see the distress in her face, and he wondered whether he wanted to go to the police station to report the robbery. She said, “Yes. I would appreciate it if you could help me get there.”
She Demanded a Divorce
The duo reported the robbery, and Caroline couldn’t be more grateful to this man she had just met. Not only did he help her get to where she needed to be, but he also helped her care for Jonathan that day. It was like he was her knight in shining armor.
Then Caroline said, “I would like to go to a law firm so I could file for divorce.” Abraham had a shocked look on his face, but he drove this woman he had just met to her destination because he felt a lightness towards her. That very same day, Caroline had filed for a divorce, but what would Steven’s reaction be?
He Had a Hard Time Accepting It
Steven had such a hard time accepting what his wife’s decision was. He felt betrayed at first, but when he realized what had happened to Caroline because of his surprise, he understood why she did it. It was hard to accept that he had no more family to come home to.
