Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman
Famous for his cut throat criticism on hit television show American Idol, Simon Cowell is first on our list of celebs who were subjected to a paternity test for his little bundle of joy. In 2013, Simon Cowell took a paternity test to prove that he was the father of baby Eric. What makes this story even deeper is that Lauren Silverman was actually still married to someone else at the time that she became pregnant.
Although estranged from her husband at the time, she still found Simon’s brutally honest and somewhat crude demeanor to be attractive enough to be intimate with him. Simon was actually determined to be the father of Lauren’s baby. Also, despite Lauren’s estranged husband being one of Simon Cowell’s friends, Lauren and Simon went on to form a relationship after the paternity of baby Eric as determined.
Justin Bieber and Mariah Yeater
With Justin Bieber being such a high profile celebrity, it is almost impossible for some women to not attempt almost anything possible to get close to him and his wealth. Well, in 2011 Mariah Yeater hit Justin Bieber with a child support lawsuit for a child that she recently gave birth to. However, the missing link in the entire story leading up to the birth of the beautiful baby was that Justin Bieber and Mariah Yeater never even had sex according to Justin Bieber. Mariah Yeater made claims to have had sex with Justin Bieber following one of his performances at a concert.
It was made to seem like a very short term fling that resulted in her pregnancy. Unfortunately for Mariah, the baby was determined not to be Justin’s. Justin did however find some inspiration in the ordeal and wrote a song called Mariah after the entire case went no where.
Kourtney Kardashian and Michael Girgenti
Now, one should not assume that men are the only celebs that DNA testing has had to be used for. Kourtney Kardashian is a prime example that there are some guys out here who want in on the family life with the celeb crush of their dreams, no matter how delusional it may be in reality. Similar to the Justin Bieber case, hunky male model Michael Girgenti filed a lawsuit against Kourtney requesting custody of her son, Mason.
Michael’s platform for claiming Mason as his son stems back to 2009 when the two had a fling during a brief breakup between Kourtney and Scott around the time that Mason was conceived. Kourtney was completely cooperative in providing what was needed on her portion of the DNA testing. The test did prove that Scott is indeed Mason’s father and all lawsuits were dropped.
Eddie Murphy and Mel B
Eddie Murphy and former Spice Girl Melanie B were once an item but eventually parted ways. At some point closer to the end of their relationship their passion led to pregnancy which sparked a nasty interaction between the two when Mel B relayed to Eddie Murphy that he was the father. Mel B had already listed him as the father of the baby on the birth certificate and had no doubts in her mind that Eddie was indeed the father, yet he denied the beautiful baby until a paternity test was taken.
Since that time Eddie Murphy has taken full responsibility in the life of the child that they have together and has not denied her since he was proven wrong. Additionally, Eddie was so remorseful for his attitude towards the baby before the paternity test that he even gave additional money to Mel B for the amount that she spent during the pregnancy, when he was not present in her life.
Jude Law and Samantha Burke
Jude Law’s paternity story is a little different than the others that we have listed, but it is also the most common scenario known. Jude Law was filming the movie Sherlock Holmes and decided to go out for a drink at a nearby bar. The cocktail waitress there, who happened to be Samantha Burke, caught his eye and attention while he was there. Jude Law and Samantha ultimately became intimate and had a short term physical connection which led to Samantha becoming pregnant.
Of course, Jude Law was not excited about finding out this information, partially due to him already having three children from his previous marriage. Therefore, a paternity test was taken and Jude Law was determined to be the father of Samantha Burke’s child. Although he may not be parading the child that they share around, he takes care of them financially.
Jay-Z and Shenelle Scott
Talented, wealthy, and well rounded rapper turned businessman Jay-Z, has been seen all over the media with his beautiful wife Beyonce. However, in 2001 a young lady by the name of Shenelle Scott made claims that Jay-Z was the father of her baby, following a night of passion that remained a secret until that time. Shenelle did not list Jay-Z or Sean Carter on the birth certificate as the child’s father and all DNA results have been hidden from the public.
Despite Jay-Z maintaining his privacy on this, this entire story continues to resurface as the child grows older and new lawsuits have arisen in regards to Jay-Z providing support for the child. It is unknown to the public if Jay-Z has taken responsibility for the child, but it has been very evident that he payed Shenelle a whopping $1 million just to keep his name off of the birth certificate in the first place.
Matthew Knowles and Alexsandra Wright
Matthew Knowles, father of performer and singer Beyonce Knowles, has had his share of paternity drama as well. We have all seen him as the stern faced husband of Ms. Tina Knowles whom he had been married to for many years. However, in 2009 Alexsandra Wright released to the public the news of her and Matthew actually having an affair which led to the conception and birth of her son, Nixon.
Paternity test came into play and Matthew Knowles was ultimately named the father of Nixon. News of this led Tina Knowles to file for a divorce and caused quite a shock in Matthew Knowles as he had denied the child and the affair until the DNA test results of the paternity test proved him wrong. The affair with Alexsandra and the reality of Matthew’s newest addition to the family sparked enough attention on Matthew that he has since not been in the media at all, but has owned up to his actions and youngest child.
Gavin Rossdale and Pearl Lowe
Gavin Rossdale had become very close to the beautiful clothing designer and model Pearl Lowe. So close that during her previous marriage, when she gave birth to her baby girl Daisy, Gavin Rossdale was deemed her godfather. It was later made known to the world that Pearl Lowe only named Gavin as the godfather to protect the reality of the situation that Gavin Rossdale was actually her biological father.
Gavin was very adamant about this information not being exposed, yet as Daisy grew older she wanted to know the truth about who her real dad was. Therefore, a paternity test was taken and Gavin was proven to be her biological father. The information surfacing angered Gavin to the point of cutting all communication with Pearl, but he does however maintain a relationship with his daughter Daisy.
Elizabeth Hurley and Steve Bing
Billionaire Steve Bing was once involved with beautiful actress Elizabeth Hurley, yet the two were never exclusively in a committed relationship. Although not committed to each other, their intimate moments did lead to Elizabeth Hurley having a beautiful baby with the wealthy mogul. At the time, Steve Bing was not prepared to accept the baby as his without some cold hard evidence.
So, Elizabeth Hurley had a paternity test done to prove that her word was true, despite Steve Bing stating that he may not be the father due to the nature of the relationship that they shared. Once the test results were returned, Steve Bing was determined to be the father of Elizabeth Hurley’s child, and he did then accept responsibility. He later released a statement saying that he was pleased with the result of Damien being his son.
Ludacris and Tamika Foster
Rapper, actor and businessman Ludacris, was hit with a paternity suit in 2013 after Tamika Foster gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Cai. Tamika released information on how her and Ludacris had been intimate during a time when Ludacris and his publicly known girlfriend Eudoxie, had broken up temporarily. Ludacris was determined by the paternity test results to be the biological father of Cai. Tamika initially requested over $10,000 a month in child support which at that time in Ludacris’ life was more than he was able to afford and maintain his own expenses.
At this time the production of Fast and Furious 7 was put on hold, which was his main source of income. Ludacris was determined to be the father of Cai and he was court ordered to pay Tamika Foster $7,000 a month in child support, as opposed to the amount that she initially wanted. Ludacris and Eudoxie resumed their relationship later on and Ludacris takes pride in baby Cai, no longer questioning or denying her being his pride and joy.
Ryan Phillippe and Elizabeth Knapp
Popular and handsome actor Ryan Phillippe and the gorgeous Elizabeth Knapp were never an official couple. However, they did have a summer fling that resulted in Elizabeth Knapp getting pregnant. Ryan Phillippe wasn’t sure if he believed the child to be biologically his, so Alexis Knapp had a paternity test done which indeed proved Ryan to be the father of her baby Kai.
Ryan Phillippe is not listed as the father on Kai’s birth certificate for unknown reasons, yet he does accept Kai as his child and has taken responsibility in being Kai’s father. Also, Kai bares the last name of both Alexis Knapp and Ryan Phillippe to display the connection to both parents. Kai, now five-years old also has the physical attributes of both Ryan and Alexis and does have a relationship with her father, despite the paternity issues when she was born.
