Elin Nordergen was born in the '80s in Sweden. This stunning blonde was planning on becoming a child psychologist, but her plans took a turn when she got hired as a full-time nanny.
The family she was working for decided to move to the United States, and Elin was invited to come with them. And it just so happened that the husband of the family she worked for was a pro-golfer, Jesper Parnevik. When Elin met Jesper, she had no idea how much her life was about to be changed.
Meeting Tiger Woods
While working for Jesper, Erin was introduced to his close friend Tiger Woods, a man who would eventually leave her broken-hearted.
The gorgeous young woman caught his eye immediately, and he pursued Erin hoping to win her over. But there was one problem: she was in a serious relationship at the time.
The Beginning
Elin also had other suitors waiting in line, so it would take her a long time to notice Woods and give him a chance.
In 2001, the two met again at the Open Championship, and it was then that Woods caught her attention. And two years later, he proposed to Elin at the luxury Shamwari Game Reserve in South Africa.
Marriage
One year later, Tiger and Elin got married at the Sandy Lane resort in Barbados. The wedding cost them almost $2 million!
But then, in 2006, Elin received terrible news. Nude photos that looked like her were spread online, catching the attention of the media. Although they were proved to be fake, Elin's life hasn't been the same ever since.
Focusing On Their Family
The couple tried to put the nasty coverage behind them and focus on their family instead. And in 2007, Elin gave birth to a baby boy.

Woods crashed his car moments later, and dozens of paparazzi rushed to take photos and videos of him.
His situation got a lot worse when more media outlets picked up his story, forcing him to come clean about sleeping with more than 100 women since the beginning of his relationship.

Tiger tried to fix his marriage by taking a break from golf, buying Elin a new house, and even entering rehab for sex addiction.
All his efforts went in vain as Elin filed for divorce and began fighting for her prenup.

By that point, Tiger was on the verge of losing his family and all the sponsorships that helped him succeed. In the meantime, his ex-wife purchased a $12 million home with her settlement.
Since the house was built in 1920, it required a lot of renovations, and she decided to demolish it as it would cost way more to renovate it. Elin donated all the usable materials such as 14 vanities, a 12-foot fountain, and five sub-zero refrigerators to Habitat For Humanity.
Following Her Dreams
While Elin and her kids were staying in a rental on the beach near their future home, she enrolled at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.
This dedicated and hard-working woman graduated with a 3.96 GPA. Elin then continued working in philanthropy, supporting foster children through mentoring and fundraising. Did she stay in touch with Tiger?

Elin and Tiger were able to get through the heartbreak of divorce and remain good friends.
“Our frustrations would have come out if we had talked about it and been open and honest with each other. Which we are now, and it’s absolutely fantastic,” Tiger said.

"But I don't think I doubted we'd end up here. That was always my dream that the kids can have two loving parents that show respect for each other. And I feel that's what they have," she said."
