Gal was a member of the military when she turned 20, as required by all residents of Israel.

She Won Miss Israel
In 2004, Gal Gadot won Miss Israel when she was 18 years old. Gadot claims that when she represented Israel at the Miss Universe competition in Ecuador, she purposely went on a mission NOT to win because she decided the pageant life wasn't for her.
She admits, "I must say I really don't understand how they chose me to be Miss Israel that night."
