Poor Boy Does Homework Under A Streetlight, Then This Happens

Víctor Martín Angulo Córdova from Peru was forced to study under the streetlight because he didn't have electricity at home.

One day, as he sat next to the streetlight and prepared to do his homework, someone approached him. Victor nearly fainted when he realized who this person was.

His Dream

Victor tried to complete all of his homework before it got dark, but sometimes he wouldn't have time.

He didn't want to give up his studies, so he would continue doing his homework on the road under the streetlight. Victor wanted to become a police officer to "fight corruption, thieves, and drugs."

Put An End To Corruption

"I would like to be able to help my family and lift them up. I want to become a policeman and put an end to corruption," said Victor.

Soon, his dream would come true, thanks to one generous person.

The Police Noticed Him

One day, Victor caught the attention of police officers while patrolling the streets.

After hearing his story, they knew exactly what to do.

Going Viral

They were so impressed by his determination that they took it to social media to share his story, and that's when his life changed.

Victor's story instantly went viral, with people leaving heartfelt comments under the post. And it wasn't long before his parents were invited for an interview.

They Couldn't Afford Electricity

Victor's parents explained in an interview that they had to live in the dark because they couldn't afford electricity bills.

Candles didn't provide enough light, so their son had to do his homework outside next to the streetlight.

Difficulties

They also couldn't prove that the house they lived in belonged to them to make a contract for the electricity.

Victor's parents were hoping that things would go back to normal soon and their son wouldn't have to suffer anymore.

Arturo Fernández Bazán

However, when Victor's story went viral, many people began offering help to his family.

The first person to help them was the mayor of the town, Arturo Fernández Bazán.

New Beginning

He bought lots of school supplies for the boy and helped his parents obtain the necessary documents to make a contract for the electricity.

Soon, many people began to reach out to Victor's family, including one wealthy man.

Yaqoob Yusuf Ahmed Mubarak

Yaqoob Yusuf Ahmed Mubarak from Bahrain was a millionaire chocolatier and importer. Like Victor, he was born to poor parents, so he knew what the boy was going through.

He got very emotional when he saw the video of Victor studying under the streetlight and decided to help him.

He Wanted To Help

The millionaire was impressed by the boy's will and determination and said that if he were in his position, he wouldn't survive.

So, he knew that he had to help Victor to make his dream come true and was ready to do whatever it would take.

Meeting Victor

He traveled all the way to Peru to meet Victor and his parents.

When the millionaire arrived at his house, Victor hugged him, and they hung out for a bit. Yaqoob also spoke to the boy's parents, and they talked about how difficult his childhood was too.

They Needed His Help

Victor showed the rich man how he studied every night under the streetlight because he didn't have enough light at home.

Seeing how determined the boy was, Yaqoob promised that he would help the family get back on their feet as soon as possible. So what did he do?

He Helped Them

He decided to rebuild their house and transform it into a two-story home.

The millionaire also helped Victor's mother to start her own business and gave her $2,000 for her son. Victor also told Yaqoob that most of his friends were living in poverty, and he decided to help them, too.

A Problem

Initially, he wanted to transform Victor's school to accommodate more children. However, there was a problem with the Peruvian government, and he wasn't able to resolve it.

We sincerely hope it will be resolved soon and more children will receive help from this generous millionaire!
