Parents Left Kids Alone For A Week, You Won't Believe What They Did To The House

They promised to keep the house clean and tidy and not invite any people over. But they weren't honest about what they were planning to do while their parents were away.

When the couple returned from a much-needed vacation, they couldn't believe what their teenage daughters had done to the house.

Alone For The First Time

Chip Schoonovers and his wife, Karen, decided to spend one week at their North Myrtle Beach home.

Since their three daughters, Haley, Hollie, and Halice, were already old enough to stay alone at home, they decided to go without them.

Ground Rules

They laid down some ground rules for the girls and asked their eldest daughter, who was already married, to check on them.

But little did they know, there was already a secret plan in the works.

Security Cameras

The three sisters were excited about spending one week alone without their parents. But unbeknownst to them, Chip had set up some security cameras around the house so he would always know what they were up to.

So, three days into their vacation, Chip opened the home security app on his phone to see if his girls were following the rules. He had no idea what was coming.

Ultimatum

His wife asked him several times not to cross the line, but Chip wouldn't listen to her.

So, she gave him an ultimatum — he could only check the footage once, and she got to keep his phone for the rest of their holiday. But would he listen to her this time?

Mess Everywhere

Chip just had to know. So, he opened the footage and prepared for the worst.

His suspicions were correct. His daughters weren't taking care of the house. The front lawn was filled with garbage. But it was the backyard camera footage that left him speechless.

In Shock

In the middle of the backyard was a sofa surrounded by garbage. Chip couldn't believe his eyes as he watched the footage.

He immediately called them. “Is everything okay?” he asked them. He tried to play it cool. "Yeah! Everything is great!" Hollie replied.

Not A Big Deal

Chip was furious. His daughter was obviously lying. He didn't get a chance to say anything else because Karen took his phone and hung up.

She believed that it wasn't a big deal and that he should just relax and enjoy the holiday. But Chip knew something was up.

"I Told You So"

When they returned home, they were shocked to discover that the house was even cleaner than they had left it in the first place.

"I told you so," Karen said. But that wasn't all.

Welcome Back

The four girls welcomed them back and led them into the house. It was only when Chip stepped inside that he realized what had really happened while they were away.

And it made him burst into tears.

In Shock

The living room and the kitchen had been totally redone. The girls had painted the cabinets and walls and even bought new furniture!

"How did you do this?" Chip asked his daughters as he wiped his tears. When they got upstairs, they realized that the entire second floor had been renovated too!

A Makeover

It turns out that the four sisters had been planning this transformation for a long time. They were just waiting for the right moment to do it.

They had been saving up money for months so that they could give their house a makeover.

More Difficult Than They Thought

The sisters admitted that they didn't get much sleep through the week. The home renovation was more difficult than they imagined.

They even called some of their friends to ask them for help so they could get it done on time.

Proud

Chip was so proud of his daughters. He and his wife had been planning to renovate the house for a few years now, but they just couldn't afford it.

He also felt guilty for spying on them.

False Alarm

Chip feared that his daughters would throw a party while they were away and invite strangers, but instead, they used this time to transform the house.

Chip and his wife felt so proud of their daughters.
