Celebrities Who've Never Been Married

No To The Knot

Marriage isn’t for everyone.

And for these celebrities, they either have no plans to get married to their current squeezes or they are still single but really aren’t interested in having a ring put on it. A few on this list are total shockers! Hint: It’s one of the Chris’.

Winona Ryder

The Stranger Things actress has been in a relationship with Scott Hahn since 2011.

Part of her decision comes from her own mother and father. “When your own parents are madly in love for 45 years, your standards are really high.” On top of that, she says she would rather have never been married than divorced a few times.

Charlize Theron

The Oscar-winning actress has called herself “shockingly available.”

Even though she hasn’t been in relationships for very long, and doesn’t want to get married, doesn’t mean she’s not up for love. She’s just waiting for someone to “grow a pair” and ask her.

Keanu Reeves

Even though the world knows about the tough life Reeves had to endure, we actually don’t know very much about his thoughts on marriage.

All we know is that he’s been dating Alexandra Grant for years and only made their public debut on the red carpet of John Wick 3.

Bill Maher

The comedian and talk show host has made his thoughts on marriage very clear – he doesn’t believe in the institution at all.

In one interview he said, “I’ve tried to have relationships. I’ve been in love. I’ve known some amazing women. But I’ve never understood how you can just be with the same person, day after day, week after week, year after year. I just don’t get that.”

Norman Reedus

The Walking Dead actor had to clear up some rumors that he and his long-term girlfriend were married from 1998-2003.

Even if they were never married, he believes in love and is raising their daughter together. He just doesn’t believe in the institution anymore.

Lauren Graham

The Gilmore Girls mom has been with her Parenthood co-star, Peter Krause, for nearly 10 years.

But when she was on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2016, she said she had “already felt married” to her partner after 5 years of being together. And, it’s okay just the way it is.

Seth MacFarlane

The Family Guy creator might be living the single live, but he has said that he’s “wide-open to getting married.”

However, at least to him, that might be hard. “You end up sharing that person with this other mistress that is their career.”

Eva Mendez

Eva Mendez is well-known for her various roles on the big screen, but what she might be less-known for is her views on marriage.

Eva Mendez, 42, has two children with Ryan Gosling, 35. The pair have been happily together for six years. Mendez doesn't really want to get married and has denounced the rumors that often spread that the two are secretly wed.

Marisa Tomei

In one interview, Tomei said “I’m not that big a fan of marriage as an institution, and I don’t know why women need to have children to be seen as complete human beings.”

She’s made it very clear she likes living the single life and that she had no plans on slowing down.

Chris Evans

At least half the women on the planet would love to say, “I do!” to this Hollywood hunk.

Despite being in relationships, he’s never tied the knot. “I’m the one who feels enveloped… If I’m with someone who just kind of adopts my life, that can feel a bit suffocating,” he told Hollywood Reporter in 2019.

Diane Keaton

When she asked if she had any regrets, she said, “I don’t think about it a lot but I’m aware of the fact that I’m unusual in that regard, and maybe I did miss out on something—but then, nobody can have everything, right? I’m not unhappy.”

Even though she’s been in relationships with some big-name actors, she actually hasn’t had a “date” in over 35 years.

Al Pacino

He’s dated some hot Hollywood stars in the past. Even Diane Keaton admitted she was deeply in love with him for years.

However, he’s never shown interest in taking things any further than dating. The actor also hasn’t given any tidbits as to why he’s never tied the knot.

Mindy Kaling

“I don’t need anyone to take care of my needs and desires. I can take care of them myself now.”

The actress reinforced her words by having a child in 2018 as a proud, single mother. She won’t even peep about who the father is. It’s clear she’s got her stuff together more than most people.

Edie Falco

Some people say that meeting someone great all boils down to luck and timing.

The Sopranos actress said she wasn’t sad about any part of her life and that she never really saw anything appealing about the marriages she’s witnessed. “It has to be the really right person at this point.”

Owen Wilson

Even though Wilson has had 3 children with 3 different mothers, he hasn’t talked about marriage at all.

There are no interviews or sound bites that share his thoughts at all. All anyone knows is that he’s never been married despite having an extensive, and sometimes scandalous, dating life.

Simon Cowell

The America’s Got Talent judge said he would never have children, but now he had a 6-year-old son.

So his thoughts on marriage aren’t that clear. “I think with anything in life just let things happen rather than plan. I’m saying that all the good things that have ever happened in my life I’ve never, ever planned," he said.

John Cusack

He’s never brought out a ring to anyone, and he prefers it that way.

He’s dated beauties like Jennifer Love-Hewitt, Neve Campbell, Gina Gershon, and Uma Thurman but will not take it further. “Society doesn’t tell me what to do,” he told Elle Magazine.

 Oprah Winfrey

Since the 80s, the talkshow goddess has been the center of a lot of speculation when it comes to her beau, Stedman Graham.

If anyone wants the details about why she’s never walked down the aisle, she’s written an entire article about it. “He and I agree that had we tied the marital knot, we would not still be together," she wrote.

Ricky Gervais

He’s made his views abundantly clear in interviews and on stage during his comedic acts.

Even though he’s been with his long-time partner for 32 years, he’s also said, “I don’t think there’s any point to us getting married. We don’t want anymore toasters, we never want our families to meet, that’d be terrible.”

Leonardo DiCaprio

His list of dates and squeezes is long and highly publicized by every gossip magazine.

He seems to be a big vague on the matter of marriage. “That time will come when it comes,” he told Parade in 2016. “The truth is that you can’t predict marriage. You can’t plan it. It’s just going to happen when it happens.”
