Mom Shares Picture With Controversial Background

Embarrassing Selfies

A search for "embarrassing background selfies" will yield a large number of humorous images. These selfies can be grouped into various categories and may include amusing photobombs with pets making disapproving faces or people captured in humorous positions.

A Few of these embarrassing selfies makes people wish they didn't have a smartphone or a social media account. Despite this, people continue to follow them.

Instagram Queen

26-year old Tammy Hembrow is an Instagram queen of Australia. People wait for every pose and angle that lands on her feed – especially if you like curves and duck-mouth pouts.

But in one particular series she posted (which became a bit of a habit), people ended up looking less at her and more at the background.

Location Location

It might be difficult for some to get past the small wait and skimpy clothes, but people soon noticed there was something else. First was the location – the bathroom. It might be an easy place for a photo because there’s a big mirror, but it can also catch certain details.

People are too busy looking in the mirror to check their untidy bathrooms before posting.

Watch Your Back

The first one was an open toilet. Some people might not think it’s a big deal. Others hate it. But it’s there to help keep some of the … yuckies … out of the air. There were comments of her puckering up so close to where they … you know.

Next was the cleaner. People commented on her brand of toilet cleaner and said she was cheap. They did not hold back on embarrassing her.

Clean Your Toilet

Yes, it’s good to know that the toilet was cleaned, but a few times the brush and bottles were left out. This isn’t like accidentally leaving out a plate in your kitchen or a towel on the floor. Many people commented on the background, but the pictures kept coming.

Tammy also isn’t the only one.

Fakes

Besides the “messy room” category, another is the “you liar!” group. The internet loves to call out shenanigans and facades. One of which is the “my man took this.” It can be anything from “sleeping” to “surprising me in the shower,” but the background shows them solo.

It is hilarious what some people will do to look they have something important to do.

Not Real

Another showed a mom complaining about the traffic with a big “ugh!” The reflection in her sunglasses showed a totally different story. It was to show of her kissy lips, but the road ahead was utterly void of vehicles.

Why not just say “smooth sailing” and still have the lips? Then there is the aware for cuteness.

Say Cheese

Kids will always get into trouble if they can (we all did), but it’s the best when you see someone striking a fancy or sexy pose only to see a child in the background with their finger up their nose. One favorite is when they stand in a close circle and take one top-down.

Hello, little child under there! But what about when someone else takes the snap?

Check Me Out

Attractive bodies, flexed muscles, or a hot wardrobe is social media catnip … unless a reflection shows a grandma or parental unit holding the camera. One was sitting in the background just reading a newspaper. But, oh ho! The crème de la crème of “oops” moments…

So many people have been caught out because of reflections in the mirror or glass. This makes their content unreliable.

One Step Ahead

We can lose count of all the selfies where someone wasn’t aware of what was shown in their room … or bedroom. Get it? Wink, wink. Hey, there’s no judgment! But maybe it’s a good idea to take a look at the environment first.

Another mom was a total genius and used the background to her advantage.

Can't Fool Me

One night, Heather Steinkopf texted her 18-year-old daughter to see what she was up to. The response wasn’t exactly believable – something about a movie night with a friend. This is where the “proof of life” photo came into their world.

The idea was simple and went the opposite of ignoring the background. This clever mother was one step ahead of her naughty teenager.

Caught Out

“Send a selfie of the two of you both giving me the thumbs up.” The girls giggled and did as requested, but Heather wasn’t “happy with it.” “With the light on,” she sent back.

The next round came through and by then it was a hilarious game that HAD to go to the next level.

Sharp Eyes

“I think you photo cropped Stevie into the picture, get on her back and take another picture.” After that, she was satisfied. Now, before anyone cries about crushing teen spirit, even the daughter admitted her mom’s trick had got her in trouble for lying about where she was.

Other parents soon adopted the strategy. It was genius.

A Game

Even if the parents know exactly where their kids are and have complete trust in them, some use it as a cute way to keep in contact and have a light-hearted conversation with their sons and daughters.

Sometimes the kids are not even doing anything wrong, but just want to be given the independence to be free.  One commenter weighed in with the best response ever…

Not Just About Age

“Just for the record, I'm 30, married & own my own home. I STILL get this stuff from my mom.”

So, whether snapping pics for Instagram fame, tossing something up without Photoshop, or just having a bit of fun, the selfie is no longer a craze and will be a source of entrainment for years to come.

Here To Stay

The latest social media trend to hit the Internet is called “TikTok.” These are short 30-second (or more) videos. The amount of content on TikTok is crazy. You can find just about anything.

There are children and adults posting from all over the world. If you are into short videos, then this is the platform for you to watch.

Video Content

What makes TikTok so great is the fact that it is fast content at your fingertips. Content creators know how to design their videos in a way to captivate their audiences immediately. Bright colors, outrageous outfits, the latest music, and food all add to the main content you will see on the feed.

The videos are catchy and attractive and you keep scrolling through them because there is just so much to see.

TikTok Trends

TikTok has various channels and creators come up with trends. This could be anything from a well-choreographed dance to a silly voiceover. All this adds to the fun of the platform.

Some of the most popular videos have catchy dances and phrases. What makes it so interesting is seeing how different people portray the same content.

The Trends

Some of the most popular content we see today is “I’m not meant to work, “Loop”, “The 60s,” “One Thing About Me,” “Freaky Friday,” “30 Thousand, ” and “About Damn Time”. Most of these trends have popular songs and provocative phrases.

The more outrageous the video, the more likes, followers, and subscribers you get. That’s what they want.

TikTok Challenges

Most of the TikTok challenges are harmless fun. Some trends where there are cute games to play with your babies or children are very popular. People love watching cute babies and animals doing funny things. These types of videos get the most views.

The intention of these videos is to create feelings of happiness, love, or joy in the viewer.

More Followers

The goal is that the viewer will select the TikTok artist’s account and watch all the previous videos too. Through this, you build a relationship with your audience. The catchy trends almost force people to partake in them.

Everyone wants to be a part of the game. FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) is huge on TikTok.

Creating Content

Everyone wants to go to all the best restaurants and nightclubs. Traveling to exotic locations and attending important social events give people the content they need to promote themselves.

Although Tik Tok was created for people to explore their creative side, some people tend to take it to a dark pace. There are many dangerous trends online.

Cyber-Bullying Is Worse

Many of these awful trends go as far as to bully or punish children. The sad part is that many of these children use their parent’s electronic devices to do this.

Parents today know the dangers of cyberbullying so they take extra precautions by putting parental control on their cellphones or laptops. But kids today are really smart.

Smart Kids

They learn from school and their friends how to bypass security systems or simply create new accounts to access the videos they want to watch. In fact, besides not giving your child a phone at all, there is little parents can do to prevent their child from using social media.

There have been numerous reported cases of cyberbullying in schools. They go as far as to get children suspended or expelled from school or even worse, some games that end up in suicide or death.

Parents Must Step-Up

Teenagers are at a very susceptible age, and if they do not feel accepted, they tend to get over-emotional and cause self-affliction. Of course, this happened before the widespread use of cell phones, but it is even more relevant now because there are more reasons for teenagers to be depressed.

Schools need to instill good morals in their students. There should be some Life orientation classes that cover the dangers of social media.

Prioritize Your Child

Kids to focus on their studies. They need to be disciplined to stay in school and focus on their education at least until they are 18 years old. This may be easier said than done.

Millennials and Gen Zs are known to be quite entitled. They want what they want when they want it. They often come across as rude and selfish.

No Space For This

Old school methods of punishment like grounding, Chores, and taking away privileges will have to be put in place. It is clear that the attitude and moral level of children is deteriorating these days.

We need to be aware of this as the last generation of people who were raised in the classic educational system.

The Right Values

Some of the content we see online is outright disgusting and borderline pornographic. There are underage girls, half-naked, leaving nothing to the imagination. Their family members even see this online but the girls are shameless. It is all the fad to dress in slutty clothes and twerk in random places.

Our girls don't have any self-respect anymore and they are taught that it is self-empowering to run around naked. The media is feeding our children rubbish and they are eating it up.

A Global Pandemic

The Tiktok craze has become like a disease. Our children walk around with their heads stuck in their cell phones all day. They can't talk anymore and communicate in a series of grunts. All over the world children have a desperate need to fit n to these trends.

They have become obsessed.  What is happening to our youth?

No Luck

It is not too late yet. We can all try and help to lead these children into the light. Let’s try and bring game nights and movie nights back. Let’s get our kids to play sports outdoors in the sand, and let’s get them to play with the pets outside so that they can enjoy the grass and sun.

If we don’t start teaching them to appreciate the small things we have in front of us. They will waste their lives spending time creating something that is never real.

The Future We Want

What is our future going to look like with a bunch of narcissistic content creators leading us into the future? If you have a child or teach children, you are the first point of contact.

You have the power to mold these young minds and teach them manners and discipline. How wonderful it would be for our youth to come together for the greater good Now that would be a trend worth following.
