Jimmy couldn't believe his eyes when he saw his daughter's hair. "What happened?" he asked her. "Who cut your hair?"
"One of the teachers did," the Jurnee replied, sobbing. Furious, Jimmy picked up the phone and called the principal. This was completely unacceptable!
It's Just Hair
The principal told Jimmy that nothing bad had happened and that they had to cut their daughter's hair. To make matters even worse, the teacher also wasn't going to face any consequences for her actions.
"Oh, c'mon, it's just hair!" the principal said. "It'll grow back!" But the principal had no idea who he was messing with.

Little Jurnee couldn't stop crying that day. She was missing her long thick hair.
She told her father that her classmates made fun of her cut hair. Jimmy knew he had to teach them a lesson. No one was allowed to cut his child's hair without his permission.

The online users were just as outraged at the school's behavior as Jimmy was. They also thought it was inappropriate.
Eventually, the school was forced to take action. But their response only made the public angrier.
Not A Big Deal
Jurnee's school hired a "third party" to investigate the matter and ruled out that the teacher did, in fact, violate the school policy.
However, the school administration believed it wasn't a big deal, and the teacher would only receive a “last chance warning."

The third party decided it would be equally appropriate for the school teacher to get paid administrative leave.
Jimmy and his wife were furious. Their little girl was having nightmares about going bold because of the evil teacher, and the school wasn't even going to punish her for it.

Jimmy let out a sigh and logged into his email. By now, his story had spread worldwide, and he was receiving hundreds of emails per day from agencies and fellow parents.

The NPU wanted to help his family. They believed that what the school had done was wrong, and the fact that they only apologized when Jimmy's story went viral didn't matter.
Jimmy thanked them for reaching out, and together, they began plotting their revenge.

The National Parents Union wanted to set up a Go Fund Me page for Jimmy's family, and the funds would go to a specialized legal team.
When asked what he wanted, Jimmy said: “A million dollars."
The Statement
When the school heard about Jimmy's plan, they released a statement.
“We will aggressively defend against these baseless allegations in court and will not allow this to distract us from our mission to provide every child a world-class education that prepares them for college and careers.” Jimmy and his wife couldn't believe what they were reading.
Not Giving Up
They transferred Jurnee to a different school. But that didn't mean they were going to give up on the case.
Their lawsuit claimed that the school “failed to properly train, monitor, direct, discipline and supervise their employees, and knew or should have known that the employees would engage in the complained of behavior given the improper training, customs, procedures, and policies, and the lack of discipline that existed for employees.”
Unacceptable
Jimmy's attorney declared that the school's behavior was "unacceptable."
Jimmy believes that the school lied when they said they did an investigation. “They never questioned my daughter or me,” he told the AP. “Who did they talk to? Did they really do an investigation?”
