"That made me close myself, searching for happiness in books and movies and stuff like that,” Padron added. At the age of 14, Padron started to dye his hair and wear contact lessons. He didn’t begin his surgeries until years later, however, as his obsession with cosplay evolved. "I started with cosplay, but it wasn't enough, I wanted to change to become my own perception of beauty,” he said.
