Woman Rats On Colleague, His Response Gets Her Fired

A Small Problem

He had only started working at the company recently. Everything about his job was perfect. Well, almost everything... he would enjoy it much more if she could stop being on his case so much.

She was a great person, but it seemed like she wanted him to lose his job. He realized he had to act now or risk losing his job as she continued to underestimate him.

Bigger Better Things

Ever since Gary graduated college, he wanted to join a big tech firm in California. He'd spent 10 years creating and polishing his software engineer résumé.

The moment a job opened at company, Gary immediately applied. One of his most memorable life experiences began as the pursuit of this dream

Excitement

In order for Gary to succeed in his career, he needed to partake in group projects. Gary like the fact that most of the software he built would go through several teams before being put into manufacturing.

He was ecstatic to learn that in his new firm, he would be working with many departments to develop software features. That's where he encountered Kelsie, a coworker who appeared to be pursuing his dream job.

Problem Maker

When Gary first arrived at his new job, Kelsie was reassigned to him. She was in charge of teaching him the company policies and whatever else he needed to succeed.

Gary was under the impression that the training went swimmingly and not long after, he was a part of the software team. Kelsie, on the other hand, began to stir up problems as soon as he got comfortable.

The Beginning

The conflict between Kelsie and Gary started when the employees started working from home. Gary had recently completed his training, but he noticed that he was experiencing problems completing a task.

Gary thought that it was a smart idea to contact Kelsie to ask her for help. She immediately responded saying that she will help him. Gary felt relieved that he wouldn't be stuck on the problem for much longer but upon closer inspection, his enthusiasm waned.

Acting Sly

However, Gary soon found out that Kelsie included their boss in the email. Gary would have normally been fine with it, but Kelsie blatantly belittled him in the message.

Gary inspected the email more thoroughly. Kelsie had chastised him for failing to be attention during the training period. Gary recalled that she had hurried through the course. Is he going to bring that up here?

Incoming Mail

Gary decided it was best to be on his best behavior as he only started working at the company a few weeks ago. He agreed with what Kelsie stated and pledged to do better in the future.

Gary noticed that his boss sent him an email as he was working on a project. His heart sank as he knew that this couldn't be good.

Important Meeting

“Kelsie tells me you’re having a bit of trouble handling our systems. Let’s have a call at three, and you can show me what’s giving you a hard time. We’ll work through it. Thanks.” Relief washed over Gary.

Gary was almost certain that he would lose his job. After a few minutes, Gary joined the meeting. His boss went over everything in a few minutes, which was strange as it took Kelsie an entire day to train him. Gary could not help but wonder if Kelsie was out to get him?

In The Wrong

Whenever Kelsie corresponded with Gary, she included her boss to the mails. She would confront him about the flaws in his work that she discovered.

What truly upset Gary is that she was usually the one who did something wrong, not him. Gary got fed up with her behavior and decided to do something about his situation.

Taking Action

Gary decided to contact Kelsie so that she could explain why she treated him in that way. He felt belittled and refused to let his dream career pass him by.

Just like she always did, she decided to tag their boss on her response. Kelsie wrote that Gary was solely responsible for his feelings, as she was merely doing what was expected of her. Gary had assumed Kelsie was finished with him, but what she did next stunned him.

She Continues

Kelsie sent Gary a list of software fixes she wanted him to work on. Gary failed to finish it by a split second, something he rectified immediately. But when he opened his email, as expected, Kelsie had called him out.

She sent the next batch of tasks and wrote, “Be sure to double-check your work and deliver as requested,” in the email. Gary was about to scream when he noticed something that made him smile.

A Chance Presents Itself

Kelsie sent over her tasks instead of Gary’s. Interestingly, she was supposed to have delivered the software that the tasks revolved around about a week past.

Grinning, Gary set to work. He built the software from scratch, spending more time than Kelsie highlighted. He found a new email from Kelsie when he was done. His grin deepened. He would have his revenge.

The Perfect Revenge

Gary sent the completed software and the list of finished tasks to Kelsie. Knowing that their boss was copied on the email, he wrote that he had spent a little more time on the software since he started from scratch.

Since his position never dealt with building software from the ground up, he knew his boss would pick on this. A few minutes passed, and an email beeped into Gary’s inbox. It was his boss.

Checkmate

Not knowing what to expect, Gary opened the email. His lips twitched as he read, extending into a grin by the time he finished the email.

The email was meant for Kelsie, but his boss tagged Gary. He’d reprimanded Kelsie, reminding her of her job and stating that Gary was not there to fix her mistakes. But he didn’t stop there.

Watching The Dominos Fall

Gary’s boss called out Kelsie for her behavior in the next team meeting. He was more upset about the matter than Gary thought.

He had a one-to-one meeting with Gary afterward, informing him that he was not upset with him. He was also impressed with the software Gary built. “Such talent will take you places,” he said.
