He was found near an industrial estate in Turkey absolutely covered in glue. It's believed that a group of kids did this to him.
On the verge of death, a clinic called He'Art of Rescue took him in to save his life. His transformation is breathtaking.
His Body Was Covered In Glue By Children
The industrial glue was so thick it acted like a kind of cement over his body, turning his skin into a hard shell. One of his ears became necrotic because the blood couldn't seep into the veins properly.
He was left in terrible shape, and could barely move..
He Couldn't Even Walk Because Of It
Before intensive recovery, Pascal couldn't even walk around. The shell of glue prevented him from operating his legs correctly so he was left wimpering around the room without any control.
Luckily the staff got right to work shaving the hardened fur off his body..
Luckily The Staff At A Nearby Clinic Got To Work Right Away
Staff members began to shave away the rotted fur piece by piece; Pascal just sat there in shock, scared for his life. As you can see his skin suffered extreme damage from the chemicals inside the glue.
They slowly got it all off..
They Managed To Rid Pascal Of ALL His Rotted Fur
Pascal was so weak he could barely keep himself off the ground. The founder of He'Art of Rescue, Nur Rima Yola, said: 'Pascal was in a miserable state when I first saw him inside that box.
He was not moving, he had frozen, very scared and very traumatised.' This is what he looked like when he was all done..
Pascal Wasn't In The Clear Yet
Besides removing his thick fur, Pascal also needed some other things done. For one his skin was in terrible condition, and he needed to undergo a series of medical baths on the road to recovery.
Second he had a canine virus called parvo. It wasn't clear whether he would make it..
Pascal Does Manage To Recover
Slowly but surely Pascal grew his hair back, but he was still very scared of humans.
Luckily he managed to bond with the staff at He'Art of Rescue, and even managed to make another furry friend..
Pascal Makes New Friends!
In the meantime Pascal's story managed to circulate around the internet, attracting the attention of major news outlets and millions of viewers on YouTube. All that he needed now was a place to call his home.
Luckily he found one..
Pascal Grows All Of His Fur Back
It's a shame he was ever covered in glue because he really has a beautiful coat of fur.
Here he is pictured months after the incident, looking as healthy as ever with members of the He'Art of Rescue staff.
He Now Lives With His New Family In Spain
These days Pascal lives with his family in Spain, which includes another dog he can play with! You can see in this picture that there's no longer fear in his eyes.
He's visually relaxed and happy.
