"Karen" Called Police On Girl For Selling Lemonade, But She Had The Last Laugh

When Jordan Rodgers from California turned ten years old, she decided to start her own business. She began selling lemonade to her neighbors, and her business quickly gained popularity.

But, not everyone was happy with her idea.

Back In 2018

In 2018, the area where Jordan lived was hit by a heatwave. While the residents were struggling to stay cool, she saw it as an opportunity to earn some pocket money.

She had been dreaming about going to Disneyland for years, but her mother couldn't afford the trip. So, Jordan decided to take the matter into her own hands.

Instant Success

Jordan's mother helped her find all the necessary supplies for her future business, and together, they set up a lemonade stand next to their apartment building.

To Jordan's surprise, her business proved to be an instant success.

Before The Disaster Struck

Dehydrated people were buying her lemonade and leaving great tips. Everything was going well until she caught the attention of one nasty woman.

She was determined to make Jordan's life a living hell.

Strange Woman

When the woman approached Jordan, she assumed she wanted to buy some of her lemonade. But her facial expression said otherwise.

She wasn't interested in anything Jordan had to offer. Instead, she took out her cellphone and dialed 911.

Alison Ettel

Her name was Alison Ettel, but she didn't even bother introducing herself to Jordan. She snapped at the girl for being too noisy while she was trying to work.

Then, Alison proceeded to tell Jordan that she was breaking the law and had to pay for the consequences of her actions.

Her Reasoning

According to her, Jordan's business was illegal because she didn't have the permit to sell lemonade to people.

And when Jordan refused to remove her lemonade stand from the street, she called the police.

She Had No Remorse

Jordan couldn't believe this woman dared to call the police on her for selling lemonade.

Jordan's mom was furious with Alison and wanted to confront her. But then, she came up with a better idea.

"Permit Patty"

Jordan's mother decided to record Alison's call with the police on the phone. But when she realized she was being recorded, Alison canceled the call and ran away.

Seeing how upset her daughter was, Jordan's mother decided to upload the video online. She even gave her a unique name - Permit Patty. Shortly after the video was uploaded online, Alison made a statement.

Her Explanation

She apologized to Jordan and her mother on The Today Show. She explained that she didn't actually call the police, only pretended to talk with the officers to intimidate her.

"I completely regret that I handled that so poorly," she said. "I should have never confronted her. That was a mistake, a complete mistake."

She Lied

"I was working from home. I was on some extreme deadlines," she told CNN's, Dan Simon. "At the time, there was somebody shouting outside continuously. It was going on for a couple of hours. I couldn't concentrate at all."

However, the police later confirmed that they had received a call from Alison, and they even had a full transcript of her conversation with them.

Jordan Was Still Hurt

Alison had no other choice but to disappear to avoid humiliation. Jordan was still upset, but she was lucky to have kind people in her life who came together at the right moment to surprise her.

So, what did they do?

They Organized A Concession Stand For Jordan

Jordan's kind neighbors helped her build a concession stand with all the proceeds going towards her future endeavors.

But that wasn't the only thing they surprised her with.

Tickets To Disneyland

Jordan couldn't believe her luck when she saw two tickets to Disneyland in front of her.

One person who wished to remain anonymous had bought them for Jordan and her mother. Now, her dream will finally come true!

Making A Difference In The World

Many people were touched by Jordan's idea and her goal of making a difference in the world.

She also learned that not everyone is going to like you, but it shouldn't stop you from achieving your goals.
