Nia was on cloud nine when she found out she was going to have a baby. After years of trying to get pregnant, God had finally blessed her with a child.
Little did she know what the future had in store for her.
First Child
Four years after Robert and Nia first met, they welcomed a baby boy named Shai into their family.
When Shai turned three years old, the couple got married. All they wanted was to formalize the family they had built, but life had more surprises in store for them.
Baby Number Two
Nia found out she was pregnant just a few weeks before the wedding day, and she still didn't know if it would be a boy or girl.
The answer would leave them speechless.
The Beginning
Everything was going well for the family at first. Little Shai was excited to have a younger brother or sister.
Nia's second pregnancy seemed easier than the first one, and her husband was doing all he could to help her. But when the couple went for their first sonogram, the doctor noticed something strange.
Twin Boys
It turned out that Nia was having twins! The two boys were born in 2015, and the pair named them Alexander and Riley.
Nia and Robert had no plans to have more children, as three were more than enough. But life had another huge surprise in store for them.
Another Pregnancy
When Riley and Alexander were two years old, Nia discovered she was pregnant again. This pregnancy wasn't planned, so the couple was caught completely off guard.
Nia and Robert hoped that it would be a girl this time. Their sons, however, wanted another brother.
It Felt Different
From the very beginning, Nia knew that this pregnancy would be different. She felt more emotional this time, and the couple worried that something might be wrong with the baby. Her stomach also seemed bigger than in the past.

Feeling Nervous
Nia didn't know what to expect as she entered the doctor's office.
“Robert and I have always joked about having a large family, but we did not plan to have any more pregnancies after the twins. But we were in for a surprise,” she said in an interview. So what did the doctor reveal this time?
Getting It Checked
Nia hoped that her baby was healthy. “When we were expecting twins, our technician that was doing the ultrasound asked if multiples ran in our family. So this time around, the technician asked the same thing, and I thought, ‘Oh, we must be having twins again,’ she said.
Was she having twins again?
Another Set Of Twins
The technician said that Nia was having twins again. Now, they were about to go from five to seven people!
The pair was about to leave when the technician called her for another scan. He explained that he wanted to check something.
Three Babies
The technician scanned Nia one more time. Fortunately, everything was normal.
"Baby number one," he counted. "Baby number two...and then a third baby!"
In Shock
Nia was having triplets! They thought they were having one baby, not three.
How was this possible? It took Nia and Robert a few minutes to process what happened.
A Rare Occurrence
They were about to have six children, but they hadn't prepared anything for their arrival.
According to Dr. Tabbarah, who was Nia's doctor, her pattern of pregnancies is "extremely rare."
1 in 1,000 Births
“We’re talking less than one in 1,000 (births). That’s a very low chance for it happening to anyone in general.” Dr. Tabbarah explained.
