Little Fella
When animals are abandoned, many don’t have a happy ending. Some die on the streets and those who are taken by shelters normally stay there for months at a time.
This abandoned kitty, however, managed to find its happy ending!
When the sound of yelping hit their ears the nearby Airsoft players went towards the cries for help.
The Small Box
The puppies were submerged in a tar pit, distressed and fighting for air.
A Kitten
In 2016, an Imgur user named Wollstone was walking to work in Houston, Texas when he spotted a small box just outside his factory…
Inside the box was a little kitten.
Tiny Little Thing
The cat was completely alone and it seemed as if someone had placed her in a box, given her the remains of a cheeseburger and simply abandoned the defenseless animal.
The kitten was so small – barely old enough to be without her mother’s milk! It also appeared to be a female.
Friendly Kitty
Wollstone had to do something…
After nibbling on the cheeseburger, the kitten, amazingly, became interested with Wollstone. She introduced herself by rubbing herself against his legs.
No Time For Work
Despite being deserted by her previous owners, she was still friendly and trusting. It quickly became clear that this was a kitty with a lot of love to give!
It seemed the little kitten had taken an immediate liking to Wollstone.
Time For Bonding
In fact, she liked him so much that she refused to let him go to work.
The kitten followed him around and the pair were instantly bonded.
Underweight But Healthy
Wollstone knew he couldn’t just leave her where he’d found her.
Luckily the kitten was healthy, though slightly underweight.
She's All His
The vet revealed to Wollstone that she was only ten weeks old, meaning she was just old enough to be away from her mother.
Wollstone also found out that the cat wasn’t chipped, meaning it would be hard to track down the original owners. So, Wollstone decided to keep the kitty.
A Name
Are you melting yet?
Now the cat had a home, all she needed was a name.
Meet Arya
Wollstone already had a dog, Ghost, named after a Game Of Thrones character, so he decided to keep with the tradition!
Wollstone decided to call the cat Arya, after a character from the hit TV series.
The New Bed
It didn’t take her very long to settle into her new home, as the images show.
Within her first day, Arya had snuggled up in her comfy bed and explored most of the home.
Wollstone and Arya
We can only imagine how nice the cushion was compared to her old flimsy box!
Arya loved her bed, but she loved her owner even more!
The Other Housemate
She would often fall asleep on Wollstone’s lap or shoulders and when she was awake, she’d be busy nuzzling into his face!
Ghost, The Dog
While Arya’s relationship with Wollstone was always strong, the cat had trouble bonding with the third housemate, Wollstone’s dog, Ghost.
Ghost struggled to adjust to his new housemate as he was so used to be alone and the center of his owner’s attention.
A Weary Dog
To make matters worse, Arya loved teasing him!
Arya would use Ghost’s tail as a batting target and would sometimes even steal his bed!
Knowing the Traps
Understandably, Ghost was initially weary of this new nuisance!
However, Ghost soon learned how to deal with his little sister.
A New Relationship
Wollstone states that “Ghost has gotten pretty good at detecting kitty traps at this point.”
Now that Ghost knew how to handle her, he could hold his own against the feisty little cat.
Best Friends Forever
The pair soon began to calm down and began warming to one another.
Within months Arya and Ghost had warmed to each other and the pair began playing together.
The pair even sleep side by side sometimes!
