Since the founding of the Women's National Basketball Association in 1996, we have seen amazing performances both on and off the court from its players. Whether these WNBA players are legends or newcomers to the league, one thing's for certain: we keep seeing attractive players on the court.
Because of financial restraints, most WNBA players have second jobs. It may be no surprise that many of these seconds jobs include modeling. Check out this list and see what you think of these basketball bombshells.
As a point guard for the Indiana Fever, January has been a consistent leader on the team, as she has remained there since her first round draft pick in 2009.
Candace Parker
During the offseason of the WNBA, January has played basketball overseas in countries such as Turkey, Israel and Brazil.
Not only is Parker one of the most famous female basketball players of all time, she is regarded as one of the most beautiful. She was included in People's magazine world's top 100 beautiful people list in 2007 and posed on the cover of ESPN's body issue in 2012.
Erin Phillips
Oh, and she can dunk, too.
Phillips comes to us from Australia and has played basketball professionally both in the U.S. and Australia.
Leilani Mitchell
Yet she's not just a multi-sport athlete, Phillips also plays professional Australian Rules Football in her home country.
This American-Australian basketball star was born and raised in the U.S. but has dual citizenship due to her Australian-born mother.
Sydney Carter
She played college at both University of Idaho and University of Utah and has played professionally both in the U.S. and Australia.
Not only is Carter a success in the WNBA, she also helped Texas A&M win the NCAA title her junior year.
Elena Delle Donne
Since she was drafted in 2012, she has played for four different WNBA teams.
At 6'5", Delle Donne is quite the stand-out. After playing at the University of Deleware, she was drafted in the first round by the Chicago Sky.
Skylar Diggins-Smith
Along with her WNBA career, Delle Donne played for the U.S. National team and helped her team win the gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
As a two-time WNBA All-Star, Diggins-Smith is one of the most regarded players on the court. Not only is she recognized for her athletic ability but for her beauty, as she has been published in Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Edition.
Penny Taylor
In Diggins-Smith was recognized by Rant Sports as one of the 25 most beautiful women in sports and was also awarded an ESPY award for Best WNBA Player in 2015.
Although Taylor retired after the 2016 season, no list like this would be complete without her on it. At 6'1", Taylor was both intimidating and easy on the eye as she won 3 WNBA Championships during her 19-year career.
Maya Moore
She played all over the world, including countries such as Australia, China and Russia, to name a few.
Because she was such a sensation at during her run at UCONN, Moore was drafted first overall in the 2011 draft by the Minnesota Lynx. She has not only played professionally in the U.S., Moore has also played in China and Spain.
Sue Bird
She continues to win awards in the WNBA and has been a WNBA champion 3 times since she was drafted.
As a veteran of the game, Bird has been an asset to teams in both the WNBA and Russian professional leagues.
Candice Wiggins
As the number one draft pick out of UCONN, Bird has had a successful career as a point guard for the Seattle Storm-- the same team which drafted her 15 years prior.
Although Wiggins retired after the 2015 season, she is still recognized as one of the greats of the WNBA. Born in Maryland but raised in San Diego, Wiggins was a stand-out player in high school, which caught the eyes of Stanford University, where she played for four years.
Jennifer Lacy
After college, Wiggins was drafted in the first round by the Minnesota Lynx. She had a very successful career in the NBA, even winning the 2011 WNBA Championship.
Lacy's father was a former professional baseball player in the MLB, which may have something to do with her outstanding athletic ability on the basketball court.
Jasmine Lister
Lacy attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, and she has played in the WNBA steadily since 2006.
Lister had a short run in the WNBA, but that doesn't mean she lacks talent. She played college ball at Vanderbilt University and played professionally for the Los Angeles Sparks.
Cayla George
Lister is currently an assistant coach for the women's basketball team at DePaul University.
This 6'4" Australian has been successful in both the Australian professional league as well as the WNBA.
DeLisha Milton-Jones
She played basketball internationally for ten years before coming to the WNBA as a center for the Phoenix Mercury.
At 42 years old, Milton-Jones still looks good both on and off the court. Drafted by the Los Angeles Sparks in 1999, Milton-Jones has experienced a successful career as both a player and a coach.
Brittany Jackson
She is currently the head coach of the women's basketball team at Pepperdine University.
Although Jackson failed to make the WNBA following her years after college ball, she played with the Atlanta Dream for a short time.
Asjha Jones
Jackson is currently a sports analyst and works closely with basketball.
As a first-round pick in 2002 from UCONN, Jones was a highly looked upon prospect who has continued to thrive in the WNBA.
Maria Stepanova
Along with the WNBA, Jones has played in professional leagues in Russia, Spain and Israel.
At 6'8", it may be no surprise that Stepanova's shoe size is a staggering 15.
Renee Montgomery
Of Russian descent, Stepanova has played in professional leagues in Russia as well as the WNBA.
Another great player out of UCONN, Montgomery has had a fulfilling career in the WNBA.
In 2009, she was drafted in the first round by the Minnesota Lynx and has played internationally as well as in the WNBA since.
