Since we were younger, we were taught that in order to make a lot of money, you have to work extremely hard. You have to get good grades, go to a good college, avoid racking up debt, get a degree in a good field and save your money basically as soon as you get a job. However, there's always outliers to this rule and there are people who may be talented at a young age and make it without going to college.
Yet, with the increasing popularity of social media and reality TV, it's clear that people are just getting rich because of their image, their looks, or their following. Today, there are a growing number of people who have earned an insane amount of money, (like, millions), for doing something that requires almost no talent at all. Here's a few females under 25 who are rich for basically doing nothing.
These days, becoming a professional "Youtuber" can be the fast track to fame if your videos gain popularity. In order to come famous on Youtube, many showcase their talents in makeup, hair styling, art, dance, music, poetry or cooking, OR many post vlogs (video blogs) telling ridiculous stories with clickbait titles in order to get people to click on them. This is how one of Youtube's famous "Youtubers" became famous.
Danielle Bregoli
Tana Mongeau doesn't really have any talents, but she's very beautiful and posts videos with titles that grab your attention and get plenty of views. She has an absurd amount of money in the bank thanks to her following on the platform. She has over 3 million subscribers on Youtube.
You probably know her as the "cash me outside, how 'bout dat" girl. This was a viral clip from the Dr. Phil show that became immensely popular online. The girl in the video, Danielle Bregoli, was only 14 years old at the time. She got so much attention and fame from this one video clip that she was able to cash in on it.
Alexis Ren
She ended up landing a record deal and recorded raps under the stage name "Bhad Bhabie". Mind you, she relies solely on autotune and someone else is writing all of her tracks. She basically got famous from disrespecting her mom on a reality show, and now she's a millionaire. She's now fifteen years old, and with her big following on social media platforms, it doesn't look like her fame is going anywhere.
There's a good chance if you're a girl with an Instagram account, you probably know who Alexis Ren is. She's an internationally famous model with millions of followers on all of her social media accounts. She's constantly traveling, constantly working with BIG name brands, and she has the nicest clothes. It's very obvious that this girl is rolling in cash, but how exactly did she achieve all this fame and fortune?
Courtney Stodden
She was discovered by putting a photo of herself on Tumblr in a black bikini that ended up going totally viral. So yes, basically she became famous for being pretty. She technically doesn't even have any modeling experience whatsoever.
Courtney Stodden has almost no talent whatsoever, unless you count getting older men to fall in love with her and showering her with a lot of money as one. This is basically how Stodden got famous. She's 23 currently, but when she was only 16 years old, she got married to a 50 year-old man named Doug Hutchison. Obviously, this was incredibly scandalous and it attracted national media attention.
Jordyn Woods
It was incredibly obvious that this marriage was only happening for financial gain on Stodden's part. This guy was deemed as Courtney's sugar daddy, they met online and Courtney didn't reveal her age, but when he found out how old she really was, he probably should have ended it. She's currently in the process of getting divorced, but she managed to turn her small time in the spotlight into several stints on reality shows.
If you're a big fan of Kylie Jenner, or the Kardashians in general, you have probably seen her share many photos with a girl named Jordyn Woods. Jordyn has built up a huge following simply for being known for being Kylie's BFF. Jordyn has obviously taken full advantage of this fame by creating her own fashion lines, becoming a plus size model, and doing appearances.
Cindy Kimberly
We don't blame her, if we had the same connections she does, we would be doing the same thing. It also seems like Jordyn is a true friend to Kylie and doesn't really use her for all the money. If she wasn't, she probably would have revealed Kylie's pregnancy and all of her secrets.
How Cindy got famous is probably how most girls these days would dream about getting famous. She was a huge fan of Justin Bieber, and one day he found a photo of her online and shared it with his Instagram followers. However, it doesn't stop there. Justin posted the photo simply with the caption, "Who is this?".
Scarlett Leithold
All of a sudden, everyone became insanely obsessed with this girl, and Cindy made the smart move by capitalizing on her moment of internet fame. She took advantage of opportunities to model, and eventually she began gaining millions followers on her own. Thanks to that, she's now incredibly wealthy for doing basically nothing.
Looks like over these past few years, being "scouted" by a talent scout has gone completely out the window. Today, you have to make your own luck and gain a big social media following in order to get "famous". However, if you're Scarlett Leithold, looks like it can still be done the old fashion way. Scarlett was spotted by a modeling talent scout at an airport when she was only 14 years-old.
Stella Rae
At that age, most of us were still going through our awkward stage, but Scarlett apparently never went through that. She's now extremely famous and she models for Brandy Melville, which is a very popular clothing brand. She has over two million followers on Instagram. Some people work their entire lives to get to this point, but Scarlett just had a lucky day at the airport.
Stella Rae is another very popular lifestyle blogger who was clearly making a ton of money on youtube. The blogger is often seen traveling exotic places, wearing the most stylish and expensive clothes, and was able to move out to Los Angeles and get an apartment when she was only 18. She takes a bunch of sponsorships, a lot of which don't have anything to do with the kind of content she posts. It's been said that posts like this frustrate her audience, seeing as they know most of her posts are for advertising purposes.
Sarah Baska
Even when she posts videos about how she saved money as a teenager, they are still sponsored by irrelevant companies. Many have said that it seems strange that she offers her followers financial advice while she makes all her money posting sponsored content that doesn't really have to do with anything. Regardless, she's still making way more money than any of us.
Sarah Baska is a funny girl, but she's not a stand-up comedian. Like Tana, Sarah also just tells a bunch of funny stories on Youtube and has racked up millions followers doing so. However, she's never in the middle of any Youtube drama and she seems to have a great sense of humor.
At the same time, it's strange that there are small channels run by actually talented people who have been struggling for years to get subscribers, and then there's people like Sarah who earns a bunch of money without her putting in much effort. Sarah seems to be the master at putting together clever titles in caps that will earn peoples clicks.
