Around Christmas time back in 2000, Sandra and her boyfriend at the time were caught in the midst of a plane crash when the pilot of their jet became confused by the snowy conditions. The pilot had mistook ground lights for those on the middle of a runway and did a crash landing.

Luckily, Sandra nor her boyfriend were harmed.
When Sandra decided to take her role in Speed, her agent and friends told her that the part was just another background female character.
She Dropped Out Of College
The actress however, decided to go with her gut feeling, and since then she has decided to always choose roles based on instinct.
She Discovered George Lopez
Although Bullock only needed three more credits to graduate, she decided to drop out of college to go to New York instead to pursue acting.
Bullock witnessed Lopez's comedy act at a local comedy club and introduced herself.
In fact, she liked him so much that she pushed him to get his own show, and so she produced his show, George Lopez.
