Fans have been buzzing about DJ Khaled after he was spotted wearing an ominous pink face mask at an event. The musician, seen here in the mask in question, is photographed with Director Michael Bay in Miami Beach at what looks like a Rolling Stone magazine party. So what exactly does this mask mean?
DJ Khaled is wearing a mask that features quite a bit in the film 6 Underground, a new Netflix film coming out on December 13th. It's been said that Khaled's been trying to get into movies for a while now. 6 Underground is helmed by the same director who brought us Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, and the Transformers film franchise. The action thriller follows six billionaires who fake their death in order to become a covert vigilante squad. The film was made with the highest budget in Netflix history - $150 million, and stars Ryan Reynolds, Mélanie Laurent, Ben Hardy, Dave Franco, and Corey Hawkins, to name a few.
Check out the trailer here.
The trailer's soundtrack is Armin Van Buuren's Blah Blah Blah, syncing perfectly with the epic damage that the squad is inflicting on some very bad guys. Khlad's sure to approve of the musical direction that the film's taken.
Reynolds has documented his experience making this movie as only he manages to do - comically and sarcastically. When asked what the best part of working with Michael Bay was, he replied “The best part about shooting with Michael Bay? I don’t know … A lot of people might say the action, but for me it’s the stillness,” he said with zero expression on his face. “Those quiet moments.”
