Dad Vanishes, 3 Days Later Mom Finds Table For Two

Thomas and Sharon both felt like their marriage wasn't working anymore, but they didn't want to get a divorce because they wanted their children to have a family. However, Thomas always seemed to be in a bad mood and wanted to be alone, which worried his wife.

Then, one day, he told Sharon he was going to take a few days off and go to their old cabin. He wanted to give the place a makeover. Little did she know that she was in for the shock of her life.

A Makeover

Thomas said he would do some renovations at the cabin so they could enjoy it as a family in the summer. Sharon didn't think much of it and let him go.

She didn't know that his suggestion was just an excuse to be far away from his wife and kids.

Late Replies

When Thomas arrived at the cabin, he texted his wife to tell her that he had reached his destination. At first, they texted and called every day, but as time went by, he started taking longer to respond.

Then, one day, Thomas stopped replying at all.

Worried

Sharon worried that her husband was alone in the woods in the middle of nowhere. Anything could happen there, and no one would be able to help him.

She imagined the worst-case scenario and knew she had to check on him.

On The Way

Sharon dropped her children off at her sister's house and drove to their cabin. After two hours of driving, she finally arrived at the destination.

She couldn't wait to see what her husband had done to their cabin. But she wasn't prepared for the truth...

No Signs Of Her Husband

Sharon couldn't remember the last time she had visited the cabin and almost forgot what it looked like.

But when she arrived at the cabin, she was surprised to see that her husband's car wasn't there. Was he lying to her about his whereabouts?

No One There

The cabin didn't look like it had been touched, either. What was going on? Confused, Sharon opened the door and checked every corner of the cabin.

Still, there was no sign of Thomas.

Strange Discovery

Sharon closed the cabin door and inspected the outside area. Then, suddenly she noticed a white patch between the trees.

It looked like a white coat or blanket. What was going on? And where was her husband?

Scared And Confused

Sharon carefully approached the white fabric. She had her cellphone in her hand, ready to call the police.

Then, suddenly, a gate opened before her. Sharon walked slowly, trying to understand what was going on.

A Table For Two

In front of her was a table with two white chairs. The white patch she had seen was from a tablecloth that her husband had put on the table.

He had set up a setting for two. Sharon saw leftovers of crackers, cheese, fruit, and chocolate across silver plates. But it was the glass with a red lipstick stain that made her blood boil.

Emotional

Sharon stood next to the table with tears in her eyes. Who was here? Was her husband cheating on her with another woman? Or was this all just a big misunderstanding?

But she wasn't prepared for what she would discover next.

Heartbroken

Sharon took a photo of the table and got into her car. She cried the entire drive home.

How could her husband do this to her and their children? Sharon was heartbroken. She decided to wait for her husband to come home and see what he had to say about his "little getaway."

Back Home

Thomas returned home a few days later with his cabin backpack and tools for construction.

As soon as he saw his wife, he knew he was in big trouble.  “What’s wrong, babe?” he asked.  “Where are the kids?”

The Truth

With tears in her eyes, Sharon pulled out the phone and showed him the photo of the table for two.

“I only want to know who and how long. After that, you can take your bag and get out," she said.

The End

“No, babe. You got it all wrong," Thomas said. He tried to convince her it wasn't him who was dining at that table.

But Sharon didn't fall for it. “I’m not stupid!” she said. “Answer me! Who? And how long?!” She never received an answer from him. Thomas moved out of the house the same day, and they hadn't been in contact since.
