Construction Workers Leave A Chilling Note For Little Girl, Mother Opens It And Bursts Into Tears

Parents try their best to protect their children and give them the best life possible. They teach them to stay away from strangers, as not everyone has good intentions. But, sometimes, no matter how hard you try, you still fail.

A group of men had been watching this 2-year-old girl for months, and her mother wasn't aware of it.  And one day, they left a chilling note for her...

Meet Ginger and Vivian

Ginger and her daughter Vivian were residing in St. Louis, Missouri. Little Vivian brought so much happiness and joy to Ginger's life.

Being a single mom was in no way easy for Ginger, but she loved every second of it. The two had been inseparable since the day Vivian was born, and she always made sure her daughter was safe and happy. But, what happened that day was beyond her control.

Always Together

Ginger felt like being a mom was her purpose in life. And she was a good mom too. She spent every spare minute playing with little Vivian, taking her on walks, and cooking delicious meals for her.

Sadly, she soon received some heartbreaking news that turned her life upside down.

She Fell Sick

It all began when Vivian turned two years old. She felt sick on her birthday, and Ginger couldn't understand what was happening to her little girl.

Although Vivian had slept a lot the night before, she was still exhausted in the morning. But what worried Ginger the most were the strange symptoms she had.

At The Hospital

Vivian had a high-grade fever, and she couldn't keep her eyes open. Ginger decided not to waste any time and scheduled a doctor's appointment for her daughter.

After the doctor examined the little girl, he broke the devastating news.

Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Vivian had acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and she required chemotherapy. This meant that she also had to stay at the hospital for an indefinite period.

Vivian had to remain in isolation in her hospital room during chemotherapy, and her only form of communication with the outside world was a little window in the room. And soon, someone noticed her.

The Construction Workers

There was construction work going on next to the hospital. And it wasn't long before the workers noticed the little girl peeping through the window.

One day while visiting Vivian at the hospital, Ginger noticed a group of men looking at her daughter. But as soon as they saw that she was also in the room with Vivian, they stopped staring. Ginger thought it was slightly creepy but didn't think much of it. Little did she know that the disaster was waiting just around the corner.

Confused

When Ginger visited her daughter again, she saw the same group of men staring and smiling at Vivian.

But this time, they didn't look away when they saw Ginger in the window. They smiled and waved at both of them. Confused, she waved back and so did little Vivian. What did they want from them?

A Routine

Ginger figured that if the construction workers were up to something sinister, they would probably stop looking at her daughter after seeing Vivian. Maybe they were just trying to cheer her up?

And it seemed like Vivian was happy to see them too. Every morning, she would look at the window and wave to the workers. But one day, something happened to Vivian that shocked her mother to the core.

A Note

One day after chemotherapy, Vivian was lying in her bed, barely able to move. When Ginger carried her to the window to get some fresh air, they saw the unthinkable.

The construction workers had made a sign for Vivian, and when Ginger read it, she burst into tears.

Get Well Soon!

"Get well soon!" the sign read. The construction workers made this sign for Vivian because they noticed she didn't come to the window that day.

Ginger was touched by their kind message and took a photo of the sign. And soon, she would meet the two men who made this sign for her daughter.

Travis Barnes and Greg Combs

Travis Barnes and Greg Combs were the ones who made the sign. They often waved at the children in the hospital, hoping to cheer them up and brighten their day.

And when they noticed little Vivian watching them, they knew what they had to do.

Feeling Thankful

Ginger wanted to meet the kind workers and thank them in person. What they did for her daughter was sweet and thoughtful.

They made her time at the hospital a little less painful, and they gave her something to look forward to. And soon, Vivian and her mother got the chance to meet them.

A Sweet Moment

"Vivian likes to hang out in the window and play with her figurines. She likes to wave, and we watch the crane. And sometimes we get a wave back," Travis said.

"It touches you. It sets you back for a minute. You realize how good your own life is," he continued.

Final Words

Travis and Greg are happy they could help little Vivian and make her stay at the hospital a little more pleasant.

They wish her a fast recovery and hope that she will never have to return to that hospital ever again.
