19. Highly Processed White Flours

Farmed salmon, fed on unnatural diets, have less of the healthy omega-3 and are contaminated with chemicals, antibiotics, pesticides, and other known carcinogens. Raised in very crowded conditions, they also have 30 times the number of sea lice than wild salmon.

Refining grains destroys its natural nutrients and has a very high glycemic rate which quickly raises the blood sugar level and insulin levels.

18. Frozen and Pre-packaged Foods

Mills now usually bleach flour with a chemical called chlorine gas, a dangerous irritant that is not safe to inhale and in large quantities can be lethal.

A study has found that long-term consumption of red meat significantly increased the amount of colon cancer.

Artificial sweeteners, usually used to lose weight or avoid diabetes, actually help gain weight and worsen diabetes.

7. Microwave Popcorn

Mounting evidence has proved that the chemicals making up artificial sweeteners, especially aspartame, break down in the body into a deadly toxin called DKP which can cause cancer, particularly brain tumors.

According to Wikipedia, usual microwave popcorn bags are lined with perfluorooctanoic acid, a toxin linked to infertility in women and increases the risk of kidney, bladder, liver, pancreas and testicular cancers.

All hydrogenated oils are vegetable oils and cannot be extracted naturally but have to be chemically removed from their source.

They are frequently deodorized and colored to look appealing, and they contain high levels of Omega–6 fatty acids which can cause heart disease and various cancers, especially skin cancer.
