All the Beloved Celebrities We’ve Lost in 2021
2021 has equally been a tough year as 2020. It has come to a point where we can say, yes we’ve seen it all! It has been another unfair year for all of us in one or the other way.
Some of us lost our jobs, our businesses, and on top of that, we also lost our loved ones. Even the world of cinema has mourned a huge loss of talent. Let us take a moment to grief these loses and remember them once again.
Betty White
Female entertainer with the longest career - as certified by the Guinness Book of World Records, left us all in grief just a day before the New Year’s celebration. Betty White would’ve lived for a century if she could’ve been there to celebrate her next birthday on January 17, 2022.
Her agent and a very close friend, Jeff Witjas confirmed her death around 9:30 AM on New Year’s Eve. Her fans will feel her absence terribly.
Tanya Roberts
The famous actress is known for her classic work in TV series like “That 70’s Show” and “Charlie’s Angels”. World renowned James Bond actress, Tanya Roberts left us on January 4th, 2021 at Cedars – Sinai Hospital, Los Angeles.
She was hospitalised on Christmas Eve when she collapsed after walking her dogs. The news of her death was mistakenly spread a day earlier by her publicist.
Phil Spector
Unlike others, this well - known music producer passed away in a prison. It is difficult to imagine such a talented music personality in a prison even after producing masterpieces such as “Da Doo Ron Ron,” “Be My Baby” and “He’s a Rebel”.
Phil Spector was not able to finish his 19 years – to – life imprisonment as he lost his life on January 17, 2021. He was convicted for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson.
Baby CEO, Jonathan Brown
The controversial Memphis rapper, Jonathan Brown, gained fame at an early age of 14 after releasing a video wherein, he was seen with guns, rapping about drugs and gang signs.
Famously known as Baby CEO, he was killed at Frayser, Tennessee in a shooting. He died at a young age of 20.
Harry Brant
This young celebrity, a fashionista, died of a reason which is most common among the younger generation these days. He left his parents, billionaire Peter Brant and supermodel Stephanie Seymour on January 17th.
He died at the age of 24 with the reason said to be an accidental prescription drug overdose. Harry passed away just a few days before he was supposed to join a rehab facility.
Randy Parton
This borther – sister musician duo lost one of its partner to cancer in 2021.
After the death of her brother, Dolly Parton wrote on Facebook saying, her duet with Randy on “Old Flames Can’t Hold A Candle To You” will always be a highlight in her career.
Mira Furlan
Mira Furlan, a well – known actress for her portrayal of the character of Danielle Rousseau on TV’s Lost and Delenn on Babylon 5 passed away at the age of 65.
She died on January 20th due to some complications from a not so common virus - West Nile.
Tawny Kitaen
Who doesn't know Tawny Kitaen? She was famous for films like Malibu and California Girls. Unfortunately, she also left the mortal world in 2021
Kitaen died at her Newport Beach home on May 7, 2021, at the age of 59. In October 2021, the Orange County coroner's office announced Kitaen's official cause of death was dilated cardiomyopathy, a common type of heart disease.
Hank Aaron
“Hammarin’ Hank”, a baseball legend who spent 23 years of his career in major league along with Milwaukee and Atlanta Braves is said to have died in his sleep on January 22nd at the age of 86.
He endured racist death threats when he broke Babe Ruth’s all - time home run record in 1974 but the real reason behind his death is left undiscovered.
Larry King
Larry King, the broadcast icon and another victim to corona virus as said by his sixth wife Julia Alexander. The long - time CNN host left the world at 87 on January 24th, 2021.
It was reported that Larry has been a multiple cancer survivor and thereafter, he was infected with deadly covid – 19 virus. However, his wife, Shawn also mentioned that Larry King was infected with sepsis. The real cause of death remains hidden.
Hal Holbrook
January 23 is the day when the world lost one more gem from the movie industry. Hal Holbrook – the famous actor known for his work in blockbuster films such as Lincoln, Man of Honor and many others.
He is famously known for his portrayal of Mark Twain.The actor has also won Tony and Emmy Awards for his magnificent work throughout his career.
Cloris Leachman
Cloris Leachman, popularly known for her roles in projects such as “Young Frankenstien” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show”, died on January 26th, 2021.
She has won two Emmy Awards and one Golden Globe for her historic portrayal of the character of “Phyllis” on the show “Young Frankenstien”. The talented actress is believed to have died of natural causes.
Cicely Tyson
Another Tony and Emmy award winner and also an Oscar nomination, Cicely Tyson, left everyone weeping on January 28th at the age of 96.
Though her cause of demise is not disclosed, her manager, Larry Thompson calls her death to be a “peaceful transition”.

Siegfried Fischbacher, a half of the duo, who lost his battle against pancreatic cancer on January 13th has now reunited with his working partner – Roy Horn. Roy Horn lost his life to covid in May 2020.
Angie Jakusz
Nicknamed as “No Fun Angie”, Angie Jakusz featured on a CBS reality series in 2005.
Angie died at an age of 40 on January 8th. She died due to a rare form of cancer known as colorectal cancer.
John Reilly
Famous actor John Reilly - celebrated for his long-term job as resigned spy Sean Donely on "General Hospital" - passed away at 84 years old.
He likewise played parts on "Passions," "Sunset Beach," "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "Dallas" all through his vocation.
Michael Apted

It is believed that the actor lost his life to stage cancer which was detected merely three weeks prior to his death.

“All the Money in the World” and “Knives Out,” passed away on February 5th, leaving his loved ones in grief.
Rush Limbough
Rush Limbough – a conservative radio host, recipient of Medal of Freedom and sadly, also another victim to cancer.
He was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. With a heavy heart, Kathryn – his wife, announced the sad news Rush’s demise on February 17th, 2021.
Jahmil French
Degrassi star – Jahmil French, was known for his character Dave Turner on the show “Degrassi: The Next Generation”.
French left everyone on March 2nd, 2021 at a very young age of 29. The cause of decease remains unidentified but his agent confirmed his passing by declaring same.
George Segal
Oscar nomination, The Goldberg’s actor, George Segal passed away on March 23rd, 2021. He was 87 years old when he left the world.
His wife – Sonia Segal announced the demise of her husband and stated the reason as complications from a bypass surgery.
Jessica Walter

The actor famous from movies like Quantum of Solace and Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince – Paul Ritter is said to have died of brain tumour at an age of 54.
His agent says, “he died peacefully at home with his wife Polly and sons Frank and Noah by his side”.
Prince Phillip
The Buckingham Palace announced the death of the husband of Queen Elizabeth ii, shortly after which another public announcement was made of Prince Phillip being rushed to the hospital.
Later on April 9th, 2021, he left the world aging 99. He was the longest serving royal consort in British History.

The same day as Prince’s death, the world witnessed another loss of Rapper DMX.
Rapper DMX or Earl Simmons died due to drug overdose earlier in the month which left him in a vegetative state.
Barbara Shelley
British horror film icon – Barbara Shelley, often known as the “Queen of Hammer” for her excellent work in Hammer Horror Films died on January 4th at the age of 88.
Reports say she was tested positive for covid – 19 but her agent says, “It wasn’t the COVID that took her, she had underlying issues.”
Joseph Siravo
The actor played Tony’s father in all the flashbacks in the popular show called “The Sopranos”.
Jerssey Boy’s actor – Joseph Siravo left his daughter and others while fighting a prolonged battle against cancer. He lived for 64 years
Helen McCory
Helen McCory – another cancer victim. She is famous for her marvellous work in James Bond and Harry Potter films.
Husband Damian Lewis confirmed her peaceful death after a persistent battle with cancer.
