Action movies wouldn't be the same without the over the top car chases or the stylish hand-to-hand combat. Although a lot of movies these days rely on CGI and green screen for impressive scenes, there are a few tricks where there needs to be a person performing the stunts. This is where the stunt double comes in. Most actors are glad they have a body double to do all the risky business.
Stunt doubles are often given the attention they deserve. The actors often praise the work that their lookalikes do for them. They're like cousins and seeing them together can make you check your eyesight.
Lightning Strikes Twice
Bobby Holland Hanton is a renowned stunt double who's been Chris Hemsworth's body double for a while now. Normally the stunt double won't get much credit for his work but Hemsworth had made sure all of his Instagram followers know who the man is in all the stunts.
Anyone who can wear Thor's outfit and look good will definitely grab the attention of men and women alike. They look like twins!
Why Does A Wrestler Needs A Stunt Double?
Dave Bautista plays the role of Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy. This is where the confusion comes in - Bautista is a WWE wrestler so even though he had to go for acting lessons for the role, you'd think he could do his own stunts.
Even though he came from the world of wrestling, Bautista still needed Robert de Groot to fill in for him in all those risky scenes. We don't know if it was Bautista or the directors that insisted.
Harrison Appreciates The Help
Actors normally do appreciate the work that the stunt doubled do for them. Harrison Ford sent his stunt double Vic Armstrong a photo of the two together as a thank you.
When Ford hurt himself while filming Indian Jones and the Temple of Doom Vic even stepped up to act in a few scenes for him while he was recovering. Now that's a loyal stunt double!
Carrie Fisher And Her Stunt Double
Carrie Fisher and her stunt double are found sunbathing between scenes on the set of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. This shows that stunt doubles can more often than not be friends with the actors they're playing.
Fisher however wanted to be the one to kill Jabba in the famous scene. The directors said her stunt double could fill in but she refused and said that being the one to kill Jabba was very satisfying.

A stunt double doesn't always have to be the same age, but did you know they don't have to be the same gender either? The only requirement is that they look similar in stature. Chandler Riggs has a stunt double that's a 23-year-old woman - Emily Brobst.
Younger male actors often have women portray them since a man's stature is normally too bulky to look like adolescents who haven't reached puberty.

Now, this takes being close with your stunt double to a new level. Dwayne Johnson's stunt double is in fact his cousin, Tanoai Reed.
Reed has been with The Rock since The Scorpion King back in 2002. Reed likes the job since having to keep up with The Rock's image has him fit as ever.

When you've done as much as one Bruce Willis, you might need an extra double. The Die Hard actor apparently has two stunt doubles on set with him.
Maybe this is just in case the other one gets hurt attempting to do some of the stunts his movies call for.
Are Two Travolta's Enough?
Maybe we're missing something but shouldn't that other John Travolta have some grey in his hair? Other than that, these two have the same body shape and look to be the same height.
We didn't know this macho man needed a stunt double, but someone needs to do the heavy lifting.
