When Maurice Green and his family decided to grab dinner at Don Pablo's, they had no idea how their evening would turn out.
They would soon learn that the servers at this establishment are the opposite of friendly.
At The Restaurant
They arrived at the restaurant and waited for what seemed like an eternity to be seated.
Then, Maurice's daughter spotted the "seat yourself" sign. "Well, that's awkward," Maurice thought to himself as he walked to the table.
"You Can't Sit Here"
As soon as they sat down, they were approached by a nervous waiter. "You can't sit here," he said.
"Do you mind switching to this table?” The waiter guided them to another smaller table by the window and gave them the menu.
Not In The Mood
Maurice and his family could tell that the young man was not in a good mood. He looked very serious and didn't smile at them or any other guests.
When it was time to leave, Maurice called the waiter and asked for the bill.
A Rough Day
While Maurice was paying the bill, he asked the server how his day was going, to which he replied that it had been "kind of rough."
“I kind of sensed that." Maurice wasn't surprised to hear that.
$100 Tip
It was Christmas time, and Maurice wanted to make the waiter's day a bit better. So, he gave him a $100 tip.
But the waiter's reaction made him quickly change his mind.
Emotional
“I want to sow into your life,” Maurice said as he passed Johnny the $100 bill. It took him a few moments to gather himself.
“You just paid off my car, sir," Johnny said with tears in his eyes.

“I wanna sow into your life because I can see you’re working hard, and I think you’ve had a bad day. So, God told me to sow into your life big time," Maurice said.
Then Maurice pointed at the woman sitting next to him. “Well, it was actually her."

“She said, ‘give him 20% plus add a zero to it.’ So, I said, ‘Babe, I’m going to do better than that.’”
“I’m going to give him the 20% and then $100!’” Maurice continued.

Johnny's eyes filled with tears as he listened to Maurice. He felt immense gratitude toward him. “Thank you," he said.
More Cash
Johnny's reaction made Maurice realize that $100 wasn't enough. So he took out more cash from his wallet and placed it in the waiter's hand.
“You know what? We can do better than that. Here you go, another $100, here you go!” he said.
Another $100
Johnny couldn't believe his eyes. “Here’s another $100,” Maurice repeated.
Before Johnny had the chance to thank him again, Maurice said, “You know what? We can do better than that, here’s another $100!”
“You Just Got Blessed”
“Here you go. There you go, son. Come on!” Maurice continued. Johnny then finally accepted the money. “That’s $300,” Maurice said.
