These 40 Actors Did Not Like Each Other At All

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams did date for a while, which makes the fact that they clashed on set of The Notebook pretty unbelievable. The Director recalled putting them in a room together to hash out their differences and hearing them shout at each other the entire time.

They came out of the room ready to film again, and it was smooth sailing from there.

Lucy Liu and Bill Murray

Lucy Liu threw punches at Bill Murray on set of Charlie's Angels after he told her she couldn't act mid-scene. YIKES.

Billy Murray wasn't part of the sequel (he was replaced by Bernie Mac), which was probably due to his behavior on set. Apparently Liu and Murray are friends now, though.

Will Smith and Janet Hubert

Janet Hubert used to play Will's aunt in Fresh Prince of Bel Air, but somewhere between season three and four they replaced her. Ever wonder why?

That's because Janet and Will DID NOT play well together on set. She claimed that working with Will was a nightmare, and that he was a bit of a diva.

Shia LaBeouf and Tom Hardy

While filming Lawless, Shia Labeouf actually knocked Tom Hardy out. “Out cold," Tom said. "He’s a bad, bad boy. He is.

He’s quite intimidating as well. He’s a scary dude… He just attacked me. He was drinking moonshine. I was wearing a cardigan, and er, went down.”

Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey

Patrick Swayze didn't like working with Jennifer Grey.

He said she'd fall apart at any criticism thrown her way, and would “slip into silly moods, forcing us to do scenes over and over again when she’d start laughing." Jennifer didnt return the animosity, and heck, they made a great movie together in Dirty Dancing, so we can't think about this too much.

Alec Baldwin and Shia LaBeouf

Here we see Labeouf included in the countdown yet again.

He started another feud when he tweeted bad about his Orphans co-star Alec Baldwin saying, "the theater belongs not to the great but the brash" and "acting is not for gentlemen…what they do is anti art." Alec responded by saying Labeouf didn't know what theater is or isn't about.

Kiefer Sutherland and Freddie Prinze, Jr.

Freddie Prinze Jr. came on 24 for one season and said Kiefer Sutherland was "the most unprofessional dude in the world.

I think everyone that worked with him would say that." We don't know whether his statements were valid, but we do know Kiefer was the star of 24 for nearly a decade, not him, so there's that.

Sharon Stone and Billy Baldwin

Sharon didn't like co-star Billy Baldwin while filming Sliver. She had such animosity towards him that she reportedly bit his tongue while filming a love scene.

OUCH.

Richard Dreyfuss and Robert Shaw

Steven Spielberg's Jaws is a classic, but co-stars Richard Dreyfuss and Robert Shaw couldn't stand each other. Shaw was known to be a bit of a playboy, hooking up with women on Martha's Vineyard while filming the movie.

Dreyfuss knew this, and was known to steal his his drinks and throw them overboard during their down time.

Kenny Baker and Anthony Daniels

That's right, even the most iconic droids in the Galaxy fought like cats and dogs. Kenny Baker (R2D2) said that Anthony Daniels was boring and "infuriating" to be around.

I don't know about you, but C3P0 is probably the most annoying character in film history so there could be some truth to that.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes

Claire Danes didn't like working with Leonardo Dicaprio on Romeo + Juliet. She didn't like that he was a prankster on set and apparently found him very immature.

Leo in turn thought she was standoffish and haughty. Who knows where the truth lies, all we know is they had great chemistry on screen.

Meryl Streep and Dustin Hoffman

Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep produced the Academy Award winning Kramer vs. Kramer despite Hoffman not liking Streep in the least bit.

The movie is about a couple going through a painful divorce, and it didn't help that Hoffman was going through the same thing in his personal life during filming. He brought some of his baggage to set, but Meryl didn't seem to notice or care.

Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey

Mariah and Nicki Minaj filmed an entire season of American Idol constantly at each other's throats. It's a wonder they got through it.

Mariah would later say "It was like Hell, it was like going to work every day in Hell with Satan." Who knows where the blame lies.

Anne Hathaway and James Franco

Howard Stern got James Franco to open up about his Oscars co-host Anne Hathaway in 2013.

James said she was a "goody-two-shoes" and didn't exactly defend her when the DJ started yapping about all the Hatha-Haters out there.

Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carrey

Tommy Lee Jones didn't like Jim Carrey so much that he refused to sit with him for lunch in between filming of Batman Forever. Tommy later told Jim that he "hated" him, and "couldn't sanction" his buffoonery.

Wow. Jim says the animosity may have come because Dumb & Dumber smashed Tommy Lee's Cobb at the Box Office.

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson

As if we needed any more reason to cancel the entire 50 Shades of Grey franchise, apparently Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson didn't have a lot of chemistry on set.

Jamie wasn't really trying hard to reprise his role either in the sequels, so that shows you how he feels / felt about everything.

Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett

Harrison Ford openly called Josh Hartnett a punk during filming of Hollywood Homicide.

Hartnett later said "There were times we would end up just sitting in the car when we were supposed to be doing a scene and neither of us would say anything for like an hour."

Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush

Murray and Sophia Bush never really had a beef. In fact, they got married a year after meeting one another. The problem?

Murray cheated on Sophia later on and they got divorced. Too bad they had to keep filming One Tree Hill together for a couple years afterwards.

Bette Davis and Joan Crawford

Bette Davis and Joan Crawford's feud might be the most famous on the list. When making Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?, Davis allegedly kicked Crawford in the head at one point. Crawford returned the favor by rigging herself with weights in a scene where Davis was supposed to drag her from bed.

Bette ended up getting a back injury. This one got pretty wild.
